Pro-Mubarak snipers deployed in Cairo

Press TV – February 3, 2011

A protesting Egyptian man against the government of Hosni Mubarak peeks between burned vehicles in the rubble of Tahrir Square after clashes overnight on February 3, 2011 in Cairo, Egypt.

Hundreds of pro-government snipers have been deployed on top of buildings in central Cairo amid growing clashes between plain clothes police and anti-government protesters.

Clashes and pitched battles between plain clothes police and anti-government protesters have intensified in and around Cairo’s Tahrir Square.

Embattled Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s regime is stepping up its crackdown on peaceful protesters in Tahrir Square, the focal point of the anti-Mubarak protests.

A hypermarket serving the Sheikh Zayed suburb of Cairo was also torched on Thursday, witnesses said.

Protesters attacked with sticks

According to a Press TV correspondent, most of the protesters have been killed as a result of stone-throwing and attacks with metal rods and sticks.

Egypt’s Health Minister Ahmed Samih Farid has admitted that several people have died in the fighting over the past 24 hours.

Reports say at least seven protesters have been killed and over 1,500 injured in clashes, which began on Wednesday.

According to the United Nations, at least 300 people have so far been killed and thousands more injured during nationwide protests in troubled Egypt.

More people march towards Tahrir

Thousands more are marching towards Tahrir Square, where anti-Mubarak protesters are currently camped, our correspondent said.

Main opposition figures have called for another mass rally on Friday, which they consider as President Hosni Mubarak’s day of departure.

A Press TV’s correspondent says pro-Mubarak vigilantes have broken into the journalists’ center in the capital Cairo.

Egypt’s Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq has apologized for the fatal clashes between plain clothes police forces and anti-government demonstrators, pledging that violence will not be repeated in upcoming days.

  1. Washington and Tel Aviv has no interest in a Government in Egypt that is for the people and by the people, that’s why we see the chaos and destruction in the streets of Cairo
and elsewhere. Mubarak must be put on trial and let the Egyptian people decide what next?

  2. Absolutely! That is why the battle is so intense, so destructive, so one sided. Pro mobarak minions/thugs have endless weapons to use against them, the only way mobarak will win though, is if he kills them all. Genocide. This is the last chance for anti mobarak crowds, seeking freedom to win. They win, by possible mass murders by mo’s thugs, or they win, just by their sheer will power. Tonight at 11:30 est, the sun will rise in Cairo, and it will be Friday. U.S. media is being shut down, or at least only sporadic, as well as reporters being arrested in Cairo. At least 9 other countries are planning protests against the rulers of those countries. It will be nothing short of a miracle if these brave men, woman, children survive this hatred, but God is in the business of miracles. It is the same ratio in Spiritual Warfare, One of Gods Spirits can slay 5000. Five of them can kill the rest. I have Faith that those seeking Freedom, will win. God is the ONE who gave us Freedom, and the evil rulers of this world will lose. That is not to say that fighters for this cause will not be hurt. But no on ever dies. They just go back to one of the two places they came from.
At barry soetoros’ so called ‘prayer’ breakfast this morning he ‘confided’ that he ‘found’ jesus, and has ’embraced him’. Since jesus is ‘a god’ of this planet and this planet only, and he is just a myth, I have to say that he has embraced a do nothing, mythological lie, so he won’t get much help from him when they see the real GOD. In the mean time, he sees himself as jesus…. see the link…

and although he has been primed to believe he is ‘the one’, he is less powerful than the fake jesus. Instead of being concerned with this travesty in Cairo, he is off to give another lying speech, exhibiting his ‘gift’ of oration.. what a crrrrrreeeeeeep…. He is nothing but an ego driven, arrogant, smug, self-serving sodomite who will be dealt with just as harshly as mobarak… what is it with these baraks????
It will be very interesting, and I am counting on JUSTICE to prevail, in these last days on earth, just as GOD promised.
