Bill to give Israel billions of dollars passes House, now on to Senate

A bill that would expend over $6.4 billion on behalf of Israel, which was advanced earlier by a House committee, has now been passed by the whole House of Representatives. The bill will next be taken up by the Senate.
The bill was passed on July 28th, in the midst of an Israeli killing spree in which Israeli soldiers shot dead four unarmed Palestinian civilians, including an 11-year-old, a teen, and a 20-year-old attending the funeral.
The day before the House vote, Human Rights Watch had issued a report documenting “apparent war crimes” by Israel in its May attack on Gazans.
Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) reports that the bill, “which was advised by numerous pro-Israel organizations, includes $3.3 billion in security assistance to Israel as one of its key provisions,” and includes an additional $3.13 billion on items “relevant to Israel” – In other words, items that are funded because they benefit Israel. The bill is H.R.4373 – Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2022.
Pro-Israel organizations AIPAC, the Democratic Majority for Israel, and J Street all praised the pro-Israel provisions.
AIPAC issued a celebratory press release that thanked specific Congress members:
“We appreciate the efforts of several members who worked to include key pro-Israel provisions in the bill. In particular, we thank the leadership of State and Foreign Operations Chair Barbara Lee (D-CA), State and Foreign Operations Ranking Member Hal Rogers (R-KY), House Appropriations Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and House Appropriations Ranking Member Kay Granger (R-TX). In addition, Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Lois Frankel (D-FL), Norma Torres (D-CA), Grace Meng (D-NY), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) and Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE) all made important contributions throughout the appropriations process.
Only three members voted in opposition to the Israel funding: Reps. Cori Bush, D-Mo., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. (Republican members voted against the bill because of provisions unrelated to Israel, such as abortion and climate change, while explaining that they were in favor of the money to Israel.)
Another bill (H.R.4432) that would give Israel an additional half billion dollars, which was advanced earlier by a different House Committee, has not yet gone to the House floor. The funding to Israel is expected to pass easily.
If both bills are passed and signed into law by President Joe Biden, a total of approximately $20 million per day of Americans’ tax money will be expended on behalf of Israel (part of the money in direct aid; part of it on items because they benefit Israel).
Israel has received more US aid than any other country on earth – on average, 7,000 times more per capita – thanks to the Israel lobby. Experts say that Israel is not a U.S. ally and has often caused the U.S. profound harm.

Abstract
For a variety of inter-related cultural, organizational, and political reasons, progress in climate science and the actual solution of scientific problems in this field have moved at a much slower rate than would normally be possible.
Not all these factors are unique to climate science, but the heavy influence of politics has served to amplify the role of the other factors. By cultural factors, I primarily refer to the change in the scientific paradigm from a dialectic opposition between theory and observation to an emphasis on simulation and observational programs. The latter serves to almost eliminate the dialectical focus of the former.
Whereas the former had the potential for convergence, the latter is much less effective. The institutional factor has many components. One is the inordinate growth of administration in universities and the consequent increase in importance of grant overhead. This leads to an emphasis on large programs that never end. Another is the hierarchical nature of formal scientific organizations whereby a small executive council can speak on behalf of thousands of scientists as well as govern the distribution of ‘carrots and sticks’ whereby reputations are made and broken. The above factors are all amplified by the need for government funding.
When an issue becomes a vital part of a political agenda, as is the case with climate, then the politically desired position becomes a goal rather than a consequence of scientific research. This paper will deal with the origin of the cultural changes and with specific examples of the operation and interaction of these factors. In particular, we will show how political bodies act to control scientific institutions, how scientists adjust both data and even theory to accommodate politically correct positions, and how opposition to these positions is disposed of. … continue

PRECISELY, Brian! How many $s are drained from the US literally can’t be calculated. Example: this evening my caregiving assistant drizzled some honey on my/others’ banana slices…as she finished, I said “Please let me see the container/label.” To my near-sure expectation, it was/is “pure honey” bottled and distributed by the Member’s Mark flagship brand of local/national mega-retailer Sam’s Club…and there on the label was the near-ubiquitous “U” (with a circle around it) that is the “KOSHER TAX” paid by MM/passed on to consumers for the enrichment of an organized rabbis’ group/mafia that purportedly visits the various factories/fields, etc., periodically to ensure worker safety and product standards. I shudder at the implications: we consumers pay to the retailer who pays to the rabbis who feed themselves and live in comfort…and how much do they allocate/parcel out as “welfare” payments to the Zionist TerroMonster squatting on Palestinian ‘holy’ land???–and thus contribute to the dismembering of an entire indigenous population group??? I have one ongoing query/protest (re a “Protein Shake” supplement); waiting for management to respond. As I wrote above, the implications boggle my mind! BTW, there’s at least one other rabbis’ scam, identical, I believe, in scope and form: look for “K” (also encircled). ‘U’s and ‘K’s are everywhere, more and more, for cleaning, foodstuffs, etc., etc., goods for consumer use.
It was once “Kosher dill pickles.” Now it’s “Kosher everything.” We’re all Palestinians now — all “Koshered” irretrievably….

Brian, I agree about Israeli products: I refused a prescription for penicillin for a dental procedure a few years ago; the drug was made/packaged in the Zioentity (it was Big Pharma Ziogiant ‘Teva’); there was no alternate, so I went without and suffered no ill effects.
What I referred to above is US products (not sure about Canadian or European…) that are affixed with the “U” or “K” as a supposed “certification” that they are “kosher” for use by goys and anyone else. I’m looking for a Chinese product that might be sold here similarly encumbered with “U” or “K — I’m not expecting that the Zionist “reach” (of ‘rabbis,’ in this case) extends to China (Japan?…uber-Zionist Rahm Emanuel is, I fear, about to be confirmed by our Senate after Biden’ nomination to be Ambassador to Japan, and I am screaming in opposition to it…), but I’ll bet there’s a lot of thinking, and scheming, along those lines…. (Rabbis in China??? — sure: or why not do the “inspections” by some sort of IT “app”/process online, untouched, unseen…?)
Bottom line here: I don’t want the products I use and consume to be “certified” “U” or “K” by gaggles of rabbis! Such “certification” is assured, I must have confidence, by the involved state such as California’s taxpayer-funded Departments of Safety, Labor, Health, Consumer Affairs, Industrial Relations….
Here’s the real bottom line: Viva Palestine! Palestine Is Still THE Issue!
