Remote Antarctic station hit with Covid-19 outbreak

The Belgian scientific base has reported a cluster of cases despite its staff being fully vaccinated

Researchers working at Belgium’s Princess Elisabeth Polar Station in Antarctica have contracted Covid-19, even though all personnel have been inoculated and any new arrival has to follow rigorous safety protocols.

Two-thirds of the station’s staff of 25 have been infected with the coronavirus, Belgium’s polar secretariat confirmed to local media earlier this week. But how the virus could have reached the remote station, located some 220km (137 miles) from the Antarctic coast, remains a mystery.

“All those present have received two doses of vaccine, and one person has even received a booster shot,” said Alain Hubert, the facility’s executive operator and head of security measures. All staff members also have to undergo a series of PCR tests on their long journey to the station.

Those en route there take one PCR test in Belgium before leaving for South Africa and another five days after their arrival. They self-isolate for 10 days in Cape Town, then undergo two further tests: one before leaving for Antarctica and another five days after arriving at the station.

Nonetheless, even such strict control measures were apparently not stringent enough, as the first Covid-19 case was reported at the station in mid-December among a group of new arrivals. The person in question was immediately placed in isolation, but two others were soon revealed to have contracted the coronavirus as well.

All three infected researchers were evacuated on December 23, but this measure did not stop the virus from spreading further. A virologist contacted by the polar secretariat said the variant that has infected personnel at the station might be Omicron – the highly transmissible strain recently discovered in South Africa.

There are two emergency doctors and all the necessary equipment at the station to treat anyone who falls ill, according to the media. In the meantime, the polar secretariat has placed all personnel under quarantine and put a halt to any new arrivals until the Covid-19 cluster there dissipates. Explorers venturing on two new expeditions had been expected on January 12, but their arrival has now been delayed.

Sera were taken before and 2 weeks after inoculation.”

Microbiologist Antoine Bechamp concluded that illness was caused by ‘terrain’ or environment, which could be either external or internal, e.g. smoking, alcohol, toxic working conditions, stress, etc., not by attack from rogue viruses. The information provided by Matt about the Antarctic base tends to confirm Bechamp’s conclusions, as there was no other way the colds could break out.

    The response by the Belgian polar secretariat shows just how little they know about the illness at their base when they claim that it is coronavirus (nobody has yet produced the covid-19 virus), and they detected it through a PCR test for something they know nothing about, and the results of which tell you nothing about the illness. Talk about brainwashed and incompetent. They prefer to stick to the official narrative and look like a bunch of d*ckheads, rather than admit that their guys may have caught a cold because of the conditions at their base.

  4. but, well…the common cold IS a virus, right? viruses mutate, right? ergo, what happened in 1951 and 1973 might have happened (did happen) in 2021…? Isn’t the ol’ “cold” virus simply more inventive, more persistent, more omnipresent than we can imagine…? when will a mutant strain *really* do a job on our fragile, far-less-than-well-maintained-and-sustained-and-‘immunized’ bodily systems? that, inter alia, is why I’ll continue to grasp and turn doorknobs in public restrooms with the paper towel I’ve just used to wash my hands…(I’m taken by the innovation in my HMO that allows one simply to wave one’s hand at a spot on the door…voila–open sesame!)

    • Robert, there are scientists coming out publicly saying that all the experiments in the past, that were said to confirm that the cause of certain diseases are viruses of this or that type, lacked a crucial control.

      Here’s how the experiments were run. Put some living cells in a petrie dish. Flood the dish with antibiotics so any effects can’t be attributed to bacteria. Starve the cells in the dish to accelerate the effect of the virus which will be added. Separately, take a sample of sputum from a sick patient. Put the sputum into a centrifuge to separate the sputum into different layers containing different particles sizes. Take out a sample that contains only virus-sized particles, and put it into the petrie dish with the cells. Observe: if the cells die, then there is a virus.

      This is crap science, for this reason. How could they know that it wasn’t the antibiotics or the starvation process that caused the cells’ deaths?!?

      Virologist, Stefan Lanka, decided to run the experiment, but while also controlling for the possibility that it is the antibiotics or starvation that caused the cell deaths. He ran the experiment as it was always done in the past, but this time without adding the virus-sized particles. The results were that the effect, viz., the cell deaths, which was believed to be a confirmation of a virus, still happened. This proves that the it was the experiment itself, rather than any virus-sized particles, that caused the effect which was supposedly confirmation of a virus.

      So, the only reason for believing that viruses exist is worthless. Therefore there is no reason to believe that viruses exist.
