  1. In “peace time” we round up poor kids to fight for the rich. In “war” we draft more poor kids to fight for the rich. Notice a trend here? If you are in a foxhole ducking bullets and the guy in there is with you is a rich kid, you are having a truly unique experience.

  2. As a Veteran, I agree 100% with the writers sentiment. I mean, do we really need one more intervention. Can we name a successful intervention in the last 20-25 years. We seem to do more harm than good. The truth is simple… prior to 2010 Syria had the best economy in the region. No international debt, and is number 3 in oil. Until the proposed pipelines that was to flow through Syria… Syria was on good terms with the US and the world. When Syria said no…
    the insurgency and lies began. Syria has done the impossible… they have stood up to the world… they are still holding strong.
