Nawal Saady, 53, wife of Islamic Jihad leader Bassam Sa’ady, was sentenced to five additional months, added to her already existing sentence of 20 months imprisonment, and 10.000 Israeli shekels fine on Saturday.

DataFiles-Cache-TempImgs-2014-1-images_News_2014_04_27_nawal_300_0Her family said an Israeli military court made its decision after the military prosecution filed an appeal demanding more detention time for Nawal.

The court accepted the appeal of the military prosecution, and added the four months; in total, Nawal will be serving 2 years in Israeli prisons.

The family denounced the Israeli decision, and said that the court and the military prosecution just want to punish Nawal and her entire family.

Sa’ady was taken prisoner by the Israeli army on January of 2012. The Israeli army also killed two of her sons.

Her husband, Bassam, was repeatedly kidnapped and imprisoned by Israel, and was also frequently arrested by the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.

  1. Nawal, has no charges against her that I can see, other than the implication of the word of associated with her being Jihad, the original meaning being struggle, that has by the Western Allies interpretation as being a type of terrorism.
She having two sons killed by Israeli forces, it is not surprising she has been what some think of being as persecution.
Jo Bidden, Obamas, right hand man said, in his commentary on Ukraine, that he would never agree to land taken over by force such as a Russian, invasion, I suggest the Palestinian, land was taken by illegal means, with British backing, this illegal acquisition by a colonial power, has and is not resolvable by Israeli, military power and is a corrupt enterprise created by Western backed nations for the advantage of these powers.

    • Yes, and certainly Russia has no intent to relocate settler populations to the eastern Ukraine or displacing or dispossessing the present peoples there.
