This is another Iraqi WMD moment. We are being gaslit

Let’s say it again: The BIGGEST fake news comes from the establishment media. When the stakes are high, it barely bothers to hide its role as mouthpiece for Western propaganda.

This is another Iraqi WMD moment. We are being gaslit. Believe your eyes and ears, and the laws of physics, not the lies being peddled by our leaders and media about last night’s missile strike on the Baptist hospital in Gaza:

1. No Palestinian group has a rocket that can hit a hospital, killing hundreds. What they have are glorified fireworks that can cause minor damage and the occasional death or two. If Hamas or Islamic Jihad could cause the kind of damage that happened last night, you would hear about it happening in Tel Aviv or Ashkelon too. You don’t, because they can’t.

2. Israel’s apologists (and there are lots of them) are sharing all sorts of videos unrelated to the hospital strike. But the video of the strike itself shows that an incredibly large and powerful weapon is used. Listen to the noise the missile makes just before the hit – that whooshing noise is caused by its phenomenal velocity as it cuts through the air. That is not the noise of a falling Palestinian rocket.

If you watch videos being shared of Palestinian rockets being fired, notice how slowly they travel. Almost at a snail’s pace. If they fail, they drop at free-fall speed, not the near-supersonic speed of the missile that hit the hospital. To think otherwise is to misunderstand the laws of physics.

3. Israel’s apologists are trying to further muddy the waters by suggesting that either a Palestinian rocket fell, or was intercepted, and the rocket or fragments of it hit a very large ammo dump in the hospital. Let’s just accept the racist premise that hundreds of families were quite happy to seek safety next to a huge stash of explosives in the middle of a relentless Israeli bombing campaign. Let’s also accept the fantastical idea that a falling glorified firework or fragment of it could penetrate the hospital’s strong walls and set off such an explosion. If all this was true, you would still see a series of secondary explosions as the arms were detonated by the initial explosion. You don’t because there is only one explosion – from an enormous missile.

4. It’s a desperate psyop, so Israel has now released a recording of two Hamas militants conveniently having a chat after the missile strike, discussing whether they or Islamic Jihad did it. This is the same Israel that did not detect months of planning by Hamas that was needed to organise its breakout 10 days ago. But Israel got lucky this time, it seems, and just happened to be listening in when Huey and Louie decided to self-incriminate.

Remember Israel has a whole unit of ‘mistaravim’, Israeli Jewish undercover agents trained to pose as Palestinians and secretly operate among Palestinians. Israel produced a highly popular TV series about such people, set in Gaza, called Fauda. You have to be beyond credulous to think that Israel couldn’t, and wouldn’t, rig up a call like this to fool us, just as it regularly fools Palestinians in Gaza.

Most of the people spreading these lies know they are lies, including the media, and most especially the Middle East and defence correspondents. At least a few, like the BBC’s Jeremy Bowen and Jon Donnison, are trying cautiously to suggest it’s unlikely a Hamas rocket could cause damage on the scale seen at the Gaza hospital. But it’s not unlikely. It’s impossible, and they know it. They just don’t dare say it.

  1. A fascist knows no limit to his or her barbarism. Netanyahu is just such a fascist. As a Zionist rooted in blood and soil ideology, Netanyahu commissions the mass murder of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children as a tribute to the memory of his fascist Zionist father, Benzion.
    The international community of nations must now act to halt Israeli bombing of Gaza and a land invasion being prepared by the IDF. President Biden has a duty to act now to prevent Netanyahu’s government from slaughtering of thousands of Palestinians trapped in Gaza. Or else he too may face charges as an accomplice to mass murder.

    • Tom, you completely misuse and misunderstand the term ‘fascist’. Fascism and Zionist are polar opposites in every respect. Look up Mosely’s 100 Questions and Answers.

      As to barbarism …

      In his documentary film, “The Russia We Lost,” director Stanislav Govorukhin related how the priesthood in Kherson were crucified. The archbishop Andronnikov of Perm was tortured: “his eyes were poked out, his ears and nose were cut off. In Kharkov the priest Dmitri was undressed. When he tried to make the sign of the cross, a Chekist cut off his right hand.”
      “Several sources,” Govorukhin said, “tell how the Chekists in Kharkov placed victims in a row and nailed their hands to a table, cut around their wrists with a knife, pored boiling water over their hands and pulled the skin off. This was called pulling off the glove.” In other places, the victim’s head was placed on an anvil and slowly crushed with a steam hammer. Those due to undergo the same punishment the next day were forced to watch.”
      “The eyes of church dignitaries were poked out, their tongues were cut off and they were buried alive. There were Chekists who used to cut open the stomachs of their victims, following which they pulled out a length of the small intestine and nailed it to a telegraph pole and, with a whip, forced the unlucky victim to run around the pole until the whole intestine had been unraveled and the victim died. The bishop of Voronezh was boiled alive in a big pot, after which the monks, with revolvers aimed at their heads, were forced to drink the soup.”
      “Other Chekists crushed the heads of their victims with special head screws, or drilled them through with dental tools. The upper part of the skull was sawn off and the nearest in line was forced to eat the brains, following which the procedure would be repeated to the end of the line. The Chekists often arrested whole families and tortured the children before the eyes of their parents, and the wives before their husbands.”
      Mikhail Voslensky, a former Soviet functionary, described some of the cruel methods used by Chekists in his book, “Nomenclature” (Nomenklatura), Stockholm, 1982: “In Kharkov, people were scalped. In Voronezh, the torture victims were placed in barrels into which nails were hammered so that they stuck out on the inside, upon which the barrels were set rolling. A pentacle (usually a five-pointed star formerly used in magic) was burned into the foreheads of the victims. In Tsaritsyn and Kamyshin, the hands of victims were amputated with a saw. In Poltava and Kremenchug, the victims were impaled. In Odessa, they were roasted alive… or ripped to pieces. In Kiev, the victims were placed in coffins with a decomposing body and buried alive, only to be dug up again after half an hour.”
      These Chekist Jews [Bolsheviks] took sadistic pleasure in torturing the hated Russians who were now helplessly under their control. Their methods of torture were limited only by their depraved imaginations.

  2. The second and third of the points made by Jonathan Cook, a suggestion most humbly offered, is to change “Israel apologists”. An apology is made for a mistake or an error or faux pas or of something similar.
    To digress somewhat, Israel put forth a twisted, illogical and hideous response to the attack upon the USSLiberty, deeming it “…a terrible mistake.” That was not an apology. It was not an admission ‘wrong-doing’. If that was a mistake, if Israel mistakenly attacked a naval vessel, was the intended vessel Egyptian? No. To use napalm, to machine-gun sailors who had taken to lifeboats was not a mistake. The intention was to destroy the vessel and the sailors. The purpose was to place blame upon Egypt, to further the war against the Arab states with whom Israel was at war.
    Neither Israel or its “apologists” attempted or put forth an apology. On the contrary, Israel stonewalled and fought compensation.

    The “apologists” are liars. Deceivers. Deniers of a war crime, if ever there was a war crime in the very current whole of a gigantic war crime. Another Nakba, as one valid historical identification. To the west, a more understood word would be a forced expulsion, an ethnic cleansing, a genocide.

    Would Israel’s “apologists” apologize for that? To have any one of them utter, something like, “I’m sorry for the massacre. I’m sorry for starving Palestinians. I’m sorry for their expulsion from their land due to Israel’s bombing it to… as Israel’s many spokespeople have said, “To ruins.”

    Isn’t it in ruins now? Aren’t the populace starving now? Aren’t they forced to leave now? Aren’t they being massacred, murdered now by Israelis?

    Isn’t their land being stolen now? Aren’t the natural resources off-shore claimed by Israel now? Aren’t Israel and now America amassing an armada to guard what will be developed by Genie Energy, now and into the future.

    A colossal theft there, in this expulsion so that Israel’s Genie Energy can exploit the deposits, never to shared with any Palestinian state?

    No wonder, then, Israel’s endless denial to have a Palestinian nation, backed by America. War for conquest. War for a Greater Israel. A plan all along…

    However, one last forecast. To enforce this, America will be called by its Israel, its ever-so-obvious master, to war against any opposition. The two are in for a surprise…
