Israeli army blows up university in Gaza after 70 days of converting it into a military barracks

GAZA – The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) blew up the building of Al-Isra University in Gaza after 70 days of occupying it and converting it into a military barracks and a detention center.
The university administration said in a statement on Thursday, “The IOF occupied the university building for seventy days, turning it into a military base and a center for sniping isolated civilians in the areas of Rashid Street, Al-Mughraqa, and Al-Zahra, as well as a temporary detention center for interrogating Palestinians, before detonating it.”
Israeli media outlets published a video documenting the moment the occupation forces detonated the main headquarters of Al-Isra University in the city of Al-Zahra, south of Gaza City, yesterday.

The army, or a part of it at the war college, has perked up and noticed some of the lessons of the Ukraine war, and that it’s a war that the US military could not fight. They’ve missed a lot of things, or felt they couldn’t/shouldn’t write about them, but they’ve figured some stuff out and written about them in a new report, “A Call to Action: Lessons from Ukraine for the Future Force” by Lieutenant Colonel Katie Crombe, and Professor John A. Nagle.
The entire thing is worth reading, but I’m going to pull out three of the main points. The first is that a volunteer US military can’t fight a real war.
The Russia-Ukraine War is exposing significant vulnerabilities in the Army’s strategic personnel depth and ability to withstand and replace casualties.11 Army theater medical planners may anticipate a sustained rate of roughly 3,600 casualties per day, ranging from those killed in action to those wounded in action or suffering disease or other non-battle injuries. With a 25 percent predicted replacement rate, the personnel system will require 800 new personnel each day. For context, the United States sustained about 50,000 casualties in two decades of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. In large-scale combat operations, the United States could experience that same number of casualties in two weeks. (emphasis mine)

Fascists Zionists have destroyed 90% of Gaza. By any measurement you want to apply, this Israeli government is doomed. Maybe not today or next week, but doom awaits at the doorstep for Netanyahu and his gang of Zionist blood and soil fascists. The anti-fascist voices in Israel live in fear of being arrested if they speak out. Some, like the school teacher, have already been silenced in prison. But the turn to fascist dictatorship was gradual in Israel because of the anti-fascist sentiment among the majority of Jewish citizens who were either victims of Nazi fascism, or relatives of loved ones killed or tortured by the Nazis. True believers in blood and soil ideology have risen to power in Israel since 1948. Men like Menachem Begin, Ariel Sharon, and Bibi Netanyahu. This Netanyahu character was characterized as “a liar” by France’s Sarkozy and Germany’s Merkel.
Netanyahu and his coterie will not wiggle out of Genocide and ethnic cleansing claimed by South Africa. These are crimes against humanity no less. US President Biden and his advisors Blinken, Austin, and Sullivan, together with the Speaker of the House and Senate leaders, are also guilty of the same charges. Any Legislator who voted to send weapons and money to Israel after Oct 7th, 2023 is guilty of committing crimes against humanity. They may not have known what Netanyahu would do with the weapons provided him by the US. But they should have known before sending them.
Had Hitler and Mussolini been alive after WWII ended, they would have been hung at Nuremberg. We must not allow the people responsible for this human tragedy to escape punishment, not out for revenge. But by seeking Justice!
