Top Israel Lobby Senator Proposes Permanent US Air Bases For Afghanistan

Finally, light is being shed on the purpose of the massive new airbase in western Afghanistan distant from the Pashtun areas of major insurgency but within easy striking distance of Iran.
It appears that there is more to the occupation of Afghanistan than merely ‘fighting the terrorists over there so that we don’t have to fight them here’ or other such inane catch phrases.
In a Sunday morning interview Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stated that it would be “enormously beneficial” to maintain air bases in Afghanistan “in perpetuity.”
“I think it would be enormously beneficial to the region as well as Afghanistan,” Graham said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
The ongoing military threat to the region would also serve to help Israel maintain it’s monopoly of nuclear weapons force in relation to Pakistan which also lies within striking distance of the permanent US air bases.
Graham continues “It would be a signal to the whole region that Afghanistan is going to be a different place.”

Hands off ‘our hemisphere’ or Venezuela pays the price: US Senator warns Russia

The US staked a claim on half the world, as Senate Armed Services Committee chair Jim Inhofe said Washington might have to intervene in Venezuela if Russia dares set up a military base not just there, but “in our hemisphere.”
“I think that it could happen,” Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) told a group of reporters on Tuesday. “You’ve got a guy down there that is killing everybody. You could have him put together a base that Russia would have on our hemisphere. And if those things happen, it may be to the point where we’ll have to intervene with troops and respond.”
Should Russia dare encroach on the US’ neck of the woods, Inhofe said: “we have to take whatever action necessary to stop them from doing that.” … continue

Given the extreme amount of plating vehicles used to disarm improvised explosive devices now need over there, I have no doubt there’s a seemingly endless series of explosive labs in those mountains. It is truly a shame that quite a few of some our noblest people have to die for those who support our troops, except for those who needed proper nutrition while growing up.

Eric, How is it noble to occupy a peaceful nation at the behest of Israel?
Only a corrupt Amerikan politician would suggest what Sen. Graham has.
It’s in International war crime occupation of Afghanistan which Graham knows he can’t be prosecuted for.
Israel/amerika are outlaw states which must be reigned in by the world community by BDS.

Kim, service to your country is noble. Service to your people is also noble. It’s a shame that people on the payrolls of those you despise have convinced you to publicly proclaim otherwise.
I have no doubt there is an incredible anger felt by those who find their noble spirit of service is just violated by those who have no problems at all with 10-million dollar child’s parties, all at the taxpayers’ expense, even to the point of losing their mind during a delayed stress episode and blowing up Camp Falcon or assailing others at Fort Hood.

Dear fellow voter,
Ron Paul has made some rather unusual but necessary remarks that our nation must withdraw from our habitual habit of supplying excessive foreign aid to other countries. RP was not invited to debate before the Jewish Republican party, though the other republican nominees were. There’s been an obvious effort to downplay RP’s meaningfulness of as a republican candidate. You can certainly look at Jon Stewart’s coverage to show how often Fox news and even the most trusted name in news…CNN…has deliberately avoided coverage of RP as the candidates went state to state.
The two books I respectfully request you to review carefully are as follow: “The Passionate Attachment” written by the previous undersecretary to Kennedy and later Johnson, namely George Ball and was published in 1992. The book carefully details many events involving Israel’s actions over the past fifty years and the deliberate misinformation diffused back to the American voter following these events. For example, Ball’s book carefully details Israel’s attack of the USS Liberty and evidence why the attack was purposeful not accidental. Ball’s book covers a bit of history commonly known by most peaceful Muslims to this day but virtually unknown to the average American citizen: the Israeli commando raid of Deir Yassin and a complete slaughter that was squelched stateside. Jonathan Pollard was one of the most infamous of traitors to the US and his handlers back in Israel received promotions while the official response from Israel was Pollard and his co-conspirators acting as a “rogue” operation. ball provides details of how Pollard was acting under the guidance of Israel who provided Pollard money and lavish gifts for his wife in return for the stolen US secrets. Ball mentions one of these stolen secrets, cluster bomb technology was then sold by Israel to other countries.
Israel continues to dominate and provide an influence upon our politicians ready to accept campaign contributions in return for a continued blind support for Israel that ends promoting a horrendous imbalance and jeopardy to the US in the Middle East. Ball mentions Eisenhower as the only president up through and including Bush who had the mojo and courage to stand up against Israel’s wrong doing when Eisenhower learned of Israel’s plan to acquisition the Suez Canal and the scheme to steal precious water from the Palestinian lands, the Jordan River Diversion project.
The other book I strongly recommend was written by John Mearsheimer titled “The Israel Lobby and US foreign policy.” Mr Mearsheimer provides compelling arguments that ongoing Israel lobbying influences of our foreign policy has been detrimental to all concerned and promoted a continuance of the Israeli citizen’s feeling of insecurity and the Palestinian’s feeling of injustice and dispossession.
Noam Chomsky’s book “911” and Chalmers Johnson’s “Blowback” provide further compelling arguments, our direction since 911 and foreign policy has harmed far more than benefitted the United States in our position world wide. What is most important as a message is the proviso the American citizen is informed and savvy of world events so our individual convictions of justice and injustice can play a role in our candidate selections. The principle of a strong democracy is hinged on the voter knowing the issues and not relying solely on sound bites, TV host opinion and campaign rhetoric to guide our decisions. Even an entire party’s direction can be misled if fewer know the issues, including the politicians themselves.
A movie narrated by Matt Damon “Inside Job” provided tremendous insight on how our financial sector was manipulated by special interests away essential safeguards of regulation enacted after the Great Depression. Investment houses and banks such as Goldman Sachs bribed (consulting fee and/or board participation) key university economic figures and politicians to support higher leveraging for banks and other means of deregulation that opened the door for increasing risk taking. Profits for excessive risk taking was privatized as the risk was increasingly socialized. Rating companies were easily bribed to provide triple A ratings for businesses right up to a company and CEO’s downfall. The derivatives market was less constrained so outrageous insurance such as credit default swaps could be obtained by Goldman Sachs from insurance carrier AIG on subprime mortgages they sold to over-leveraged investment houses. Paulson made sure all the money due Goldman Sachs for insurance compensation on subprime mortgages they no longer possessed was compensated to Goldman Sachs as 100% on the dollar. My honest opinion is such insurance taking practices should have been a very good reason to investigate such practices, not reward Goldman Sachs with billions additional compensation at the urging and prodding by ex-Goldman Sachs CEO Hank Paulson toward our Congress. Surely Congress, particularly the democrats, was duped on that one. Between a Congressman’s ignorance and lobbying influences there’s more ways to do us wrong than right. The average voter’s savvy is now more essential than ever.
What is happening today is there is up to a 5:1 ratio of financial sector lobbyists for each Congressman and are aggressively lobbying against a resumption of essential regulations to safeguard our economy. Our economy and all the countries of the world depending on the US currency will not survive any further distortion and manipulation that diverts us from a safe harbor destination. Surely, shuffling prior Goldman Sachs executives back into key positions in the financial sector will distort our roadmap from what’s best for us.
