Israel Is Boss
By Margaret Kimberley – 03/16/2010

The United States may invade and occupy Iraq, undermine elected presidents in Haiti and throw its weight around in numerous ways in numerous parts of the world. Yet there is one country it does not dare to confront. Of course, the nation in question is Israel.
Israel and its allies in the United States make certain that no president, no political party, no congressional leader nor any citizen who wishes to be in any way influential, will dare to step outside the lines of proscribed behavior and discourse. The American public, either because they are aware of the pro-Israel grip on power, or because they have swallowed the propaganda whole, remain cowed and silent.
Israel can do whatever it wants not only with the United States, but with other western nations as well. Mossad agents succeeded in murdering Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Mabouh in Dubai last month by using doctored British, Irish, French, Australian and German passports and credit cards issued to an Israeli-run bank located in South Dakota. None of the nations involved has uttered more than the slightest peep after having their sovereignty violated in such an obvious manner.
Just in case there was any doubt about who is in charge, Israel insulted Vice President Joseph Biden and the United States government when Biden made a recent visit to Jerusalem. Biden made the pro forma journey to go through the motions of requesting that the peace process continue. The Israelis could have nudged, winked and gone through the pretense of moving forward on a just peace process. Instead they announced that more Jewish housing will be constructed on Palestinian land, embarrassing the Vice President and his boss, who wanted to pretend to be even handed when they and the rest of American political leadership are anything but. The Obama administration, like every other presidential administration in the last sixty years, does what Israel wants it to do. There shouldn’t be any reason for Israel to yank the Americans’ chain so hard and so publicly, but why follow the rules of diplomatic niceties when doing otherwise has been so successful?
The only thing worse than the obvious slap in the face, is the phony outrage surrounding it. No one gets anywhere near a presidential nomination without first swearing obedience to the Zionists and their lobby. If Obama and Biden and Hillary Clinton were truly upset with the Israelis, it is only because they were so blatant in making them all look like chumps.
Just a few weeks before Obama was sworn into office, George W. Bush and Condoleezza Rice were the victims of an Israeli public beat down. Bush was literally pulled off a stage where he was about to give a speech and forced to take a phone call from then Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert. Rice had worked on a Security Council resolution which merely called for a cease fire in Israel’s massacre of thousands of people in Gaza. Olmert bragged in a press conference, “I said, ‘I don’t care; I have to talk to him.’” Not content to tell the world that he ordered the American president to follow his orders, he took a swipe at Rice too. “He gave an order to the secretary of state, and she did not vote in favor of it — a resolution she cooked up, phrased, organized and maneuvered for. She was left pretty shamed, and abstained on a resolution she arranged.” It isn’t surprising that Israel would repeat the humiliation just a year later with a different president.
It doesn’t matter if David Axelrod goes on the Sunday morning news shows and fakes outrage about Israel’s settlements. It matters that Israel continues to steal Palestinian land and it matters that only those willing to go along with the crime are allowed to entertain any idea of having a role in United States foreign policy decisions.
Far from being angry at Israel, the United States government is actually becoming more and more like that nation. The Obama administration claims the right to carry out extra judicial assassinations just like their Middle East partner in crime. The temporary embarrassment and damage control pronouncements are not worthy of anyone’s attention.
The only lesson to learn from this sorry episode is that nothing new has taken place between the United States and Israel. All Americans are still made complicit in the joint criminality and earn the enmity of most of the world as a result. So don’t believe the hype. There is nothing to see here, just move along.

What I can’t understand is how treasonous are almost all American politicians. It can’t last. One day Americans will get totally sick of the Israeli parasite’s death grip, it’s gorged blood sucking, and shake it off. Then they will turn to these treasonous politicians.

John,
You are correct – unfortunately, America is and will continue to be manipulated by the Israel lobby (AIPAC, et al) until we FORCE change. We need to cut off funds – with the most effective way being stop paying federal income taxes.
There are many worthwhile reasons to cut off funding to the corrupted ‘Uncle Sam’:
The US federal income tax was made law in an unconstitutional manner, according to the book, “The Law That Never Was”. If true, then Americans have no duty to pay it;
It is illegal to give financial support to a terrorist organization – and both the US and Israeli governments qualify as such (read “Killing Hope” or other books by William Blum; “The Case Against Israel” (Counterpunch), by Michael Neumann; etc.);
Israel is suspected by knowledgeable people of having been involved in the 9/11 attacks – ever wonder why OBL would have called Israelis in advance to warn them? ;
Israel knowingly attacked the USS Liberty, but got off basically scot-free.
We can join the Tax Resistance Movement, and spend our money on our family, our retirements, our favorite charitable causes, what have you. (Of course, the gov’t may try to force us to pay – similar to the Mafia – so each of us must decide what our conscience tells us to do…)
I hope you can make a decision you can live with. I have made mine (i.e., to stop paying any US federal taxes whatsoever), and am at peace with it. (^^)
Finances are the Achilles heel of ‘Uncle Sam’ – no money, no bloated politician salaries, no military-industrial complex!

While people claiming Israel controls the US often make good points, I don’t quite believe it, for a simple reason:
HOW would a small country like Israel control the world’s only remaining superpower?
If so inclined, the US could totally obliterate Israel within mere hours, and if they’re worried about consequences, they could blame it all on an accident (“Oops, those nukes we’ve launched at Iran’s power plant fell short of their target and obliterated Israel… We’re terribly sorry!”) or terrorism committed by someone else (“The terrorists from Iraqistan stole the launch codes!”).
A scenario I think is more likely (because it would explain why this sort of thing isn’t happening): The group of criminals that run the US are working with the group of criminals that run Israel to create a country to hide behind.
Basically, they do whatever they want and make sure Israel plays along, and makes moves that imply Israel controls the US (such as making some public statements to that matter, or being very visibly involved in e.g. terrorism against the Palestinians).
If the criminals on the US side get caught red-handed (e.g. the 9/11 lies collapse completely), they go “but Israel made us do it!”, they retaliate against Israel (after telling their allies in the Israeli govt to leave the country, of course), people who don’t see through it are happy, and they’re still there and still largely in control.
Am I overlooking anything that speaks against this scenario, along with an explanation of how Israel could go about controlling a country that is much bigger and much more powerful than itself?

To answer your question, it’s not so much that Israel itself dominates the US but rather that then power elites within the US and indeed the entire Western world are Zionists of one type or another. For a politician, to cross Israel is to cross the very people that in fact are responsible for putting you in office.

That’s much too broad of a statement. The Israel lobby controls US policy towards the Israel-Palestine region, and strongly influences US policy towards the whole Mideast. If someone has told you that the Israel lobby controls US policy in Latin America, then you’re correct to regard that as an overblown assertion. The Israel lobby exercises its greatest strength by willingly making compromises on every other issue which does not affect Israel. They do not attempt to dictate every policy which Zbigniew Brzezinski and his other cohorts in the CFR may attempt to devise. But such policy-makers are made aware of the fact that if they wish to get anything pravtical done on other issues besides Israel-Palestine, then need to be able to first appease the Israel lobby. If they don’t, then the Israel lobby will begin making political chaos over the issue and everything else will be hampered. For those kinds of reasons, the types of planners who are involved in something like the CFR tend to appease the funders of AIPAC.
But there really isn’t much evidence to support the contention that Israel has ever served as much of a strategic asset. When the two Bushes were preparing for war in Iraq in 1990-1 and 2002-3, they were forced to keep Israel in the background because it was a political embarrassment to try getting Muslim states to support the US war while the US was backing Israel. The 1982 invasion of Lebanon was a setback to Reagan’s attempts to build an anti-Soviet coalition among the Gulf states. The degree to which the US has supported Israel over the decades is so far out of proportion to any actual strategic benefits gained, that the role of the Israel lobby is the only way to explain it.
It should probably be also noted that all of that is quite independent of whether or not one actually supports the aims of US strategic planners. I don’t actually mind the idea of seeing Reagan’s attempts to build a Cold War coalition in the Gulf get disrupted, though I never supported the Israeli of Lebanon in 1982. I don’t specifically mind having some problems be created for Brzezinski and other CFR planners, though I’m always suspicious of AIPAC. The point is that historical accuracy requires that we recognize that US policy towards Israel in the last 4 decades or more has been much more of an AIPAC-policy than a CFR-policy.

Joe,
Sad but true. The US of A is Israel’s dumb, stupid bodyguard, led around by the nose – and then gets to pay for this ‘privilege’! The Zionists (at the Fed/the Congress/et al) will bankrupt the U.S., then suck off its natural resources… Or else they will allow/cause the U.S. to get hit with nuclear weapons, when they’re ‘done with’ our country. (But Muslims will probably get the blame – like what happened on 9/11).
We Americans should start a peaceful revolution in our nation…

The #1 enemy of America is the MAINSTREAM media. Without these lying traitors cheerleading for Israel, the American people would KNOW the truth about Israel. We need to get ownership of our media companies BACK from these disgusting parasites.

Sadly Joe, it is a little more than just the media. It is the film industry, the banking system but by far it is the elected politicians in the US, owned totally by AIPAC and who do their bidding.
Joe, if you want to be nauseous, go on to youTube and see the sycophantic and totally corrupt attendees at the 2009 AIPAC Conference. Everyone there is owned by AIPAC and they are all politicians. That’s the way it is.
Finally, while you allow the practice of dual passports you will have Israelis living in both the US and Israel but loyal only to Israel. Perhaps it is time to insist on a loyalty vote, to the US that is, and separate the sheep from the goats.
US politicians are corrupt, that’s where it all starts and finishes. The media just goes along with the flow. They are cunning and insidious.
Empires collapse from within. You have a White House Chief of Staff who has served in the Israeli Army, but never in the US forces. Probably has two passports as well.
You have a Vice President who is an avowed Zionist.
You have a Secretary of State with more Jewish baggage than one would find at Tel Aviv airport. As the saying goes, Obama, with those kind of friends, you do not need enemies. They are sitting at your table. They are your advisers.
That was your first mistake!
