I Am A Radical Antisemite And Am Proud Of It

The meaning of the term “antisemite” has significantly changed in recent years. There was a time when this term referred to those who despised Jews. Later, the term referred to those who promoted myths about a global Jewish conspiracy to rule the world. Today the term “antisemite” is used by the ruling elite to lambast human rights activists who advocate equal rights between Jews, Christians and Muslims, the right of return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland and the vision of a common, democratic state for both Palestinians and Israelis. The word “antisemite”, which initially conveyed a negative and even sinister meaning, refers now to positive and highly commendable attitudes that can be carried with honour. One may lament this change of meaning, but one should remember that a word does not carry any particular meaning. It is merely a conventional symbol that refers to external contents. By convention, society could agree to name animosity towards Jews “xakaculca”, democracy “zbzb” and elefants “democracy”.
Advocacy for a just and democratic solution to the conflict in Israel/Palestine is grounded on international human rights norms, including the right to equality and the right of everyone to return to her country. These norms are enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (articles 1, 2, 7, 13(2)) and the Preamble of the U.N. Charter. This advocacy also seeks its legitimacy from the constitutional principles that underpin the Western democratic order. According to current terminology, as imposed by those who mould public opinion, the word “antisemitism” now refers to human rights advocacy and to the struggle for democracy. There is no need to combat the new convention. One merely has to adjust to it.
Inasmuch as the term “antisemite” now refers to human rights advocates and radical democrats, I declare myself a radical antisemite.

Amidst his litany of condemnations, Jonathan Kay reserves some of his most vicious and vitriolic attacks for Kevin Barrett. For instance Kay harshly criticizes Dr. Barrett’s published E-Mail exchange in 2008 with Prof. Chomsky. In that exchange Barrett castigates Chomsky for not going to the roots of the event that “doubled the military budget overnight, stripped Americans of their liberties and destroyed their Constitution.” The original misrepresentations of 9/11, argues Barrett, led to further “false flag attacks to trigger wars, authoritarianism and genocide.”
In Among The Truthers Kay tries to defend Chomsky against Barrett’s alleged “personal obsession” with “vilifying” the MIT academic. Kay objects particularly to Barrett’s “final salvo” in the published exchange where the Wisconsin public intellectual accuses Prof. Chomsky of having “done more to keep the 9/11 blood libel alive, and cause the murder of more than a million Muslims than any other single person.” … continue

How wrong you are. !!!! there are some words and combination of words that should never have its meaning changed.
I can understand your concept in it’s simplistic form and agree that words do change overtime however ‘History’ could be “miss read” today if you allow such a change to develope, the young people of tomorrow will get history wrong because of you and the change.
Find another word to have your say or create a totaly new one.

You have mis-directed your response. It is not Elias who is changing the meaning of the term but the Pro-Israel crowd.
We in the larger world can only accept that the term is now one to embrace with pride (given that it implies that one caries oneself in an ethical manner, as opposed to the non-antisemites who would by definition be racists).

I am not going to question you if you are correct or wrong on your point of veiw, I am making a comment about the dangers of changing a very important term in World history for political gain at this time.

Mr. Davidson is not being radically anti semitic with being a reasonable man with opinions that he holds. If that’s being an ANTI SEMITE then a huge majority of reasonable men and women on this earth are then by that definition, ANTI SEMITES.
is it ANTI SEMITIC to decry injustices done to Palestinians by Israeli’s? How about when Israeli’s kill innocent civilians using White Phosphorous weapons from the U.S., paid for by the U.S.?
or perhaps when they commit acts of piracy on the high seas and summarily execute unarmed people and get away with it?
Israelis’ and Americans, for that matter, lost any fictional high ground they might have thought they held, by performing such blatantly outrageous acts across the globe, under the guise of self-protection, meaning PREEMPTIVE WAR. Under those rules, any of us should be able to walk up to any other person on the street and shoot each and every one between the eyes, because they looked at us funny or they COULD HAVE nuclear weapons in their underpants.
IF the U.S. or ISRAEL were truly benevolent, legitimate and sane forces in the world, they would have realized that incessant war mongering and mass murdering is far less profitable than real pursuits of the Arts and Humanities and Sciences. Imagine the Universities and the Technical Institutes that could have been created for the betterment of all mankind, at much greater gain and profit than weapons of war and death dealing they both love to use globally on others. Think of the shining examples of humanitarianism they both could have been had they not been so short sighted and so
reptillian brained to just want to rip flesh and cause mass death instead.
Reasonable sane pursuits are not ANTI SEMITISM. Fostering genuine benevolent and good causes globally would have probably solved most if not all of the world’s problems had there not been one central theme running thru most of what Israel and the U.S. and Britain for that matter, do, on a global scale. That theme is DEBT ENSLAVEMENT and USURY.
to decry those things, enforced by illegal invasions, preemptive wars, mass murderings of innocent lives, is not ANTI SEMITIC nor is is wrong. turning a blind eye to world hunger, famine, ignorance, and outrageous injustices carried out by the RICHER NATIONS and MORE WELL ARMED ONES,against those less wealthy and with less military might, is the mark of a moral coward, and a human being or a race of humans that neither deserve to live amongst us, nor share in any of the good things that could be if they didn’t have to have everything and the rest of the world sucking hind teat.
Israel and the U.S., and Britain never have ever stood for good in the world at large. Calling them out on that is not being ANTI SEMITIC. It’s being humane and sane…two rare forces in a world full of ‘go with the flow mass murdering’ we live in.
and that’s tragically the status quo in the world. many nations stand by while a small handfull of reptillian brained assholes murder and plunder for sport and profit. IF that’s anti semitic, then I think you’ll have to outlaw all rational thought and compassion and caring for others to extinguish the flame of what I used to think was and always IS the true nature of human beings, until the past 63 or so 4years showed me otherwise.
