Medvedev: Russia to Veto Toppling Various Regimes by West

Al-Manar | October 8, 2011

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev warned Friday that Russia would veto future U.N. Security Council sanctions aimed at toppling anti-western political regimes by Western powers.

“Russia will continue standing against attempts to legitimize through the U.N. Security Council unilateral sanctions aimed at toppling various regimes,” Medvedev said.

“The U.N. was not created for that,” Medvedev said, “We should recognize clearly that the goal of the U.N. and especially the U.N. Security Council, which bears special responsibility for the fate of world peace, is not to give a pretext for drawing up documents allowing the attainment of certain ends in a military way.”

In his meeting with members of the Russian Security Council, the president also said that the Syrian leadership will have to leave office if it cannot carry out necessary reforms but stressed that the decision should be only made by the Syrian people.

“If the Syrian leadership is unable to complete such reforms, it will have to go. But this decision should not be made by NATO or certain European countries, it should be made by the Syrian people and the Syrian government,” Medvedev said. Russia is interested in an early end to the crisis in Syria, he added.

Russia on Tuesday vetoed a U.N. Security Council draft resolution on Syria, saying the draft was based on “a philosophy of confrontation” and ran counter to a peaceful settlement of the crisis.

  1. Israel’s paid provocateurs are causing the ongoing troubles in Syria in order to destabilize the Assad regime
and remove him from power. Russia’s leadership is not naive and knows well what the dilemma is all about.
The US has been hijacked by this evil criminal Zionist regime and jumps when the order is given.
The Obama Administration is a disgrace and must be dissolved in order to save America from going further down the tube!

  2. Great news! The moral of the story is; never give an imperialist a foothold, the benefit of the doubt, or think that they will have a change of heart, grow a brain, or develop a social conscience in the international community. And that is not news! It is certainty history, US history for sure.

Example being the genocidal campaign from colonial days to the present day, the original native peoples of the Western Hemisphere have been ruthlessly targeted for mass annihilation.

Likewise, the American, European, and Israeli Zionist; have formed a criminal conspiracy for depopulation, occupation, and armed robbery of the natural resources of counties using whatever pretext the fancy to pander in the putrid capitalist-imperialist press.

The problem is systemic by design, and a systemic solution alone with end it. Further pathetic elections are self-deception as well as state propaganda.

If a European wide Referendum on the stationing of foreign troops/mercenaries/assassination teams and their front organizations in their countries were put to popular vote, I am certain it would pass; as would a Referendum on stationing their national forces abroad, or basically the abolition of NATO by popular vote.

So, the hell with the UN and the UNSC! It’s record for wars of aggression outweigh its face-saving “peace-keepers” who are to lightly armed to deter aggression. A vivid example is Israel’s Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes in Lebanon alone. I am aware of the fact that.:

‘……More deaths have occurred among UN peacekeeping forces in the past decade alone than in the previous 40 years of UN peacekeeping……’

Nor is International Law enforced by the UN’s International Court of Justice, aka, the World Court! The ICC is another torture chamber that mocks justice with the assassination of Milosevic because his courtroom self-defense put the “judges” to shame, and in Yugoslavia, as in Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and more covertly in Chile, and as we are reminded here, in Italy.

Only rule by direct popular vote in making policy, and all government personnel are public employees, not it’s rulers!

Republics are the problem, they represent the self-interest of the rich and powerful alone; and repress those who oppose the chronic criminality the intrenched imperial plutocracy; and their mount pieces like Blair, Clinton, Obama, etc….
