What is Stephen Zunes, the well-paid chair of the academic advisory committee of Peter Ackerman’s International Center on Nonviolent Conflict, doing on the radio show of Antiwar.com, whose self-proclaimed “initial project was to fight against intervention in the Balkans”?
As William I. Robinson, the author of the seminal critique of the democracy-manipulating establishment, Promoting Polyarchy: Globalization, US Intervention, and Hegemony, has written:
That Ackerman is a part of the U.S. foreign policy elite and integral to the new modalities of intervention under the rubric of “democracy promotion,” etc., is beyond question. There is nothing controversial about that and anyone who believes otherwise is clearly seriously misinformed or just ignorant.

Ronald Reagan’s Torture

The 2004 CIA Inspector General’s report, released in August 2009, referenced as “background” to the Bush-era abuses the spy agency’s “intermittent involvement in the interrogation of individuals whose interests are opposed to those of the United States.” The report noted “a resurgence in interest” in teaching those techniques in the early 1980s “to foster foreign liaison relationships.”
The report said, “because of political sensitivities,” the CIA’s top brass in the 1980s “forbade Agency officers from using the word ‘interrogation” and substituted the phrase “human resources exploitation” [HRE] in training programs for allied intelligence agencies.
The euphemism aside, the reality of these interrogation techniques remained brutal, with the CIA Inspector General conducting a 1984 investigation of alleged “misconduct on the part of two Agency officers who were involved in interrogations and the death of one individual,” the report said (although the details were redacted in the version released to the public).
In 1984, the CIA also was hit with a scandal over what became known as an “assassination manual” prepared by agency personnel for the Nicaraguan Contras, a rebel group sponsored by the Reagan administration with the goal of ousting Nicaragua’s leftist Sandinista government.
Despite those two problems, the questionable training programs apparently continued for another two years. The 2004 IG report states that “in 1986, the Agency ended the HRE training program because of allegations of human rights abuses in Latin America.”
While the report’s references to this earlier era of torture are brief – and the abuses are little-remembered features of Ronald Reagan’s glorified presidency – there have been other glimpses into how Reagan unleashed this earlier “dark side” on the peasants, workers and students of Central America. … continue

Yes, I agree and this article opens a perfect segue to make the CIA directed ‘Color Revolutions’ and ‘Arab Spring’ and it’s US based ‘Occupation Movement’ and the more recent ‘White Revolution’ being foisted by the same criminal cabal of imperialist parasites in Russia aimed to removing Putin and installing another treacherous wimp like Gorbachev or pliable idiot like Yeltsin.
This goes back to the ‘Free Soviet Jewry’ as the prelude to their settlement/occupation in the West Bank of Palestine.
American youth in their tents and simplistic one-liners were controlled and the vapidity on international issues alone is enough evidence of that, especially with multiple wars of aggression taking place, the country contaminated from the nuclear fallout from Fukushima, without a single warming to the American people to stay inside as the ominous radiation came across the Pacific and America.
So internationally and domestically, the ‘Occupy’ puppies were flipped a plastic bone of slogans and never mustered against the provisions in the military authorization legislation containing totalitarian provisions that would sweep them into modern dungeons and have their free-lance natural leaders singled out for assassination.
Of course you have to be aware of OTPOR, NED, and COINTELPRO for an enlightened perspective on the mechanization of containment and nullification of social movements which occurred during and within the Civil Rights, Anti-War, and Women’s Rights movement.
So what can you except from a website that is complicit in covering-up the true sponsors/conspirators of 9/11?
