US Bipartisan Bill Would Allow Israel Veto on Arms Sales to Arab Countries

Lawmakers at the US House of Representatives introduced a bipartisan bill on Friday that could allow the occupying state of Israel to veto any American arms sales to the Arab countries.
The proposed bill “would require the President to consult with the Israeli government to ensure [qualitative military edge] concerns are settled” in respect to weapons sales to Middle Eastern countries, read a statement by the office of lead sponsor Representative Brad Schneider.
The proposed legislation also asks the US President to inform the Congress of the potential impact of the planned deal on Israel’s military superiority in the region, no later than 60 days after receiving a request to sell arms and military equipment to countries in the Middle East.
Most of the sponsors are members of the Democratic Party, including Jewish lawmakers Schneider, Elaine Luria, Max Rose, Josh Gottheimer, Ted Deutch and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
The bill came in the aftermath of the UAE-Israel normalization deal on August, under which the UAE would purchase cutting-edge weaponry such as F-35 fighter jets.

We have known for decades that US ‘law’-makers covertly discriminate against American interests and favour Zionist diktats as exposed by e.g. Richard Curtiss (1990); ‘Stealth PACs – Lobbying Congress for Control of U.S. Middle Policy’ but this demonstrates the most blatant racial prejudice against Arab nations to be enacted within the most powerful global arms dealer. Democracy, justice, peace and national loyalty are devalued to near meaninglessness. Are they hoping to sneak this through while attention is diverted to Covid19 and the President is in quarantine? Any chance enough Representatives will have the courage to resist the threat of defamation by the Israel lobbies and vote ‘no’?

I fear you are right, Brian. But a tipping-point will come. That could be when it is widely understood that Israelis perpetrated ‘9-11’ and all the ensuing damage, deaths, deception, denial of freedoms, fake war-cries that led to devastation of Iraq and Afghanistan, deaths and injuries, including tens of thousands of US military, huge costs, mass migration and civil unrest, to name the most obvious ramifications. If that doesn’t do it, their conspiring to use American forces to devastate Iran surely will?
