Biden claims US forces will defend Taiwan

President Joe Biden once again said that Washington is willing to use military force to defend Taiwan from Beijing, if necessary, while insisting that the US still adheres to ‘One China’ policy and is “not encouraging” the island’s independence.
During a ‘60 Minutes’ CBS News interview aired Sunday night, Biden was asked if the US would become directly involved to “defend the island” in a potential conflict between Beijing and Taiwan, including through the use of military force.
“Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack…” Biden replied, before the broadcaster cut away to clarify the controversial statement. A White House official apparently explained to CBS, before the interview was aired, that US policy “has not changed” and that officially the US would still neither confirm nor deny whether American forces would defend Taiwan.
“So unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir, US forces, US men and women would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?” the interviewer Scott Pelley asked again.
“Yes,” reiterated Biden.
The US leader however also said Washington respects the ‘One China’ policy, by which it recognizes that there is only one China led by Beijing. “We agree with what we signed onto a long time ago. And that there’s One China policy, and Taiwan makes their own judgments about their independence. We are not moving – we’re not encouraging their being independent. That’s their decision.”
Biden previously made a similar statement in May, calling it America’s “commitment” to protect Taiwan. At the time, amid an outcry from Beijing, the White House was also forced to “clarify” the US leader’s words, saying it did not constitute any changes in Washington’s policy towards Taiwan or China.

An Italian private intelligence firm that allegedly hacked government databases to collect information on thousands of prominent people, including politicians, entrepreneurs, and celebrities, is accused of working for Israeli intelligence and the Vatican, media reported on 30 October.
Police wiretaps leaked to Italian media show that Equalize, which employs former members of Italian intelligence, is accused of breaching the servers of government ministries and the police between 2019 and 2024 to collect information.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Equalize allegedly collected numerous classified files that contain sensitive information about prominent Italians to sell to clients – including major companies and law firms seeking information to gain an advantage over competitors, win court cases, or for blackmail and extortion.

Gee, “Neither confirm nor deny”……Where have we all heard that crap before? Oh yeah, that’s right, Israel uses that “gobbledegook” all the time, to avoid having to be HONEST in its dealings. And, America’s politicians have been very impressed by it’s “Ambiguity”…..

Yes, regarding ambiguity in the first comment. America is following the Israeli model of ambiguity as to America’s involvement in the Ukraine. America’s Congress has not declared war, has it? Yet America’s President and his neo-conservative/jewish advisers, domestic as well as foreign, mind you, are directing American foreign policy. Or, is that to be another “ambiguity”?
Defend Taiwan? What insanity.
Defend Israel? Against the enemies Israel has made across the middl east? What insanity.
Wouldn’t a rapprochement with Iran be sanity? To have Iranian oil supplied to America, as well as Europe?
This Biden is the worst President, ever! And look to whom and what is influencing him. Unless, ambiguity is what you want. It’s what Israel wants… all over whatever it’s able to influence.
Think not? Well, ask Israel for its involvement in that which induced America to war on Iraq. On Syria. On the Palestinians.
And if they have their way, on Iran.
What insanity.

“This Biden is the worst President, ever”! I don’t know if anyone (in the USA) has noticed but, it suits the “DEEP STATE” to have a dopey President. They are just So much easier to manipulate.
Just look at all the dual passport holders behind the President, who do Israel’s bidding, every time. And always, lurking behind the scenes, there’s Henry Kissinger, still influential, and managing Israel’s interests in Washington.
