Republican 2024 Hopeful Ramaswamy Vows to Close Multiple US Agencies if Elected

WASHINGTON – Vivek Ramaswamy, a contender for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination, said he would seek to reduce the size of the US federal government by closing down five agencies if elected president in 2024.
The plan is to “reduce the size of the federal employees down by 75% by the end of the first term,” Ramaswamy told Semafor on Wednesday.
The agencies that would be closed include the FBI; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF); the Department of Education; the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; and the Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services, he said.
Ramaswamy pointed out he would use executive action and bypass Congress to close the agencies.
In addition, Ramaswamy said he would also execute “a revision of at least 50% of federal regulations that failed the Supreme Court’s test.”
The plan does not entail replacing the agencies, however, it does envision relocating some employees to other government units, Ramaswamy said.
For example, 15,000 of the 35,000 FBI employees would be reassigned to roles within the US Marshals Service, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and the Drug Enforcement Administration, Ramaswamy added.

A New Era Of Mass Armies Approaches

The army, or a part of it at the war college, has perked up and noticed some of the lessons of the Ukraine war, and that it’s a war that the US military could not fight. They’ve missed a lot of things, or felt they couldn’t/shouldn’t write about them, but they’ve figured some stuff out and written about them in a new report, “A Call to Action: Lessons from Ukraine for the Future Force” by Lieutenant Colonel Katie Crombe, and Professor John A. Nagle.
The entire thing is worth reading, but I’m going to pull out three of the main points. The first is that a volunteer US military can’t fight a real war.
The Russia-Ukraine War is exposing significant vulnerabilities in the Army’s strategic personnel depth and ability to withstand and replace casualties.11 Army theater medical planners may anticipate a sustained rate of roughly 3,600 casualties per day, ranging from those killed in action to those wounded in action or suffering disease or other non-battle injuries. With a 25 percent predicted replacement rate, the personnel system will require 800 new personnel each day. For context, the United States sustained about 50,000 casualties in two decades of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. In large-scale combat operations, the United States could experience that same number of casualties in two weeks. (emphasis mine)

Wow — “federal employees down by 75%” … to cut to the chase: the guy is going to have to eviscerate DoD and Foggy Bottom in order to meet that target! Maybe that’d be a good thing….

The Kennedy’s were aiming to break up the CIA into “a thousand pieces” before they were assassinated with assistance from J Edgar Hoover’s FBI. Hoover hated John and Robert Kennedy. Hoover’s Cointelpro Div V was known for its gestapo tactics to silence political figures believed to be either too honest to take a bribe or who refused to do Hoover a favor. Ironically the Mob didn’t fear Hoover. Hoover learned the mafia had compromising photos of him in their possession and they would embarrass him publicly by releasing them to the press. Hoover was warned to lay off or his closet homosexuality would be front page news.
The American people didn’t know any better either. Collectively they stood by and watched as their beloved national leaders were gunned down one by one. JFK, Malcolm X, MLK, and Bobby Kennedy were all gunned down within 5 years and covered up by the lone assassin theory with help from the FBI and spread by a complicit corporate news media that had all but abandoned independent journalism long ago.
I don’t doubt this young man has good intentions. Others have tried, but the road to hell is paved with their good intentions. Ramaswamy will get the Donald Trump treatment if elected. The problem lies at the feet of the American electorate. Will they shed their pessimism in time to save their nation? Americans are going to learn the answer sooner than later as the rest of the world turns their back on us.
