China rejects US election interference claims

RT | April 29, 2024

China’s foreign ministry has shot down allegations by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that it interferes in American elections, accusing Blinken of “paranoia and shadow-chasing.”

Upon returning from a visit to China on Friday, Blinken told CNN that the US government had seen attempts by Beijing to manipulate US elections. “We have seen, generally speaking, evidence of attempts to influence and arguably interfere. And we want to make sure that’s cut off as quickly as possible,” he told host Kylie Atwood.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian rejected these allegations at a press conference on Monday. “Non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs is a basic principle for China’s diplomacy,” Lin told reporters.

“The US presidential election is the US’ internal affair,” he continued. “We have never had any interest and will not interfere in any way in the election. Nevertheless, we staunchly reject anyone making an issue of China and damaging China’s interests for election purposes.”

“The US needs to stop the paranoia and shadow-chasing, stop slinging mud at China to divert attention and deflect the blame, and contribute to a stable China-US relationship and the wellbeing of our two peoples,” Lin concluded.

American politicians often accuse foreign nations of interfering in US elections, with the now-debunked claim that Russia intervened to help Donald Trump clinch the presidency in 2016 spiralling into an espionage operation against Trump’s campaign and a years-long probe by the FBI and special counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump and President Joe Biden have both accused China of similar meddling attempts, with Biden pressing Chinese President Xi Jinping on the issue during a meeting in San Francisco in November. According to CNN, Xi promised Biden that China would not interfere in this year’s presidential election.

US spies insist that Xi’s promise was a hollow one. In a threat assessment published in February, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence claimed that Chinese operatives aim “to sow doubts about US leadership, undermine democracy, and extend Beijing’s influence” through information operations and possible election meddling.

“Even if Beijing sets limits on these activities, individuals not under its direct supervision may attempt election influence activities they perceive are in line with Beijing’s goals,” the document stated.

According to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, such accusations are rooted in American insecurity over China’s rising economic and military might. Pointing to Washington’s espionage allegations, sanctions, and trade restrictions, Wang said in March that its “methods of suppressing China are constantly being renewed.”

“The challenge for the United States comes from itself, not from China. If the United States is obsessed with suppressing China, it will eventually harm itself,” Wang told reporters in Beijing.

  1. It is not off topic to fully examine the thrust of technocracy coupled with that wild card, spontaneous creativity (both human and AI) that are at bottom, the real movers and shakers of modern history not specific political figures or associated personages such as prominent military men or banking/finance circles.

Bronze swords were superseded by iron ones, gunpowder by high explosives (HE) e.g., TNT, RDX. PETN, C4 and so on..which brings us to dramatic implications and effects these discoveries have on regional economies, war or peace, globalism v.s. multipolarity. So the obvious needs repeating, the public awareness and consensus recognizes as fact-endless war has been set in stone as policy, this was decided on by the five thousand manager families here in the USA. They are wedded to the M.I.C.C. extra “C” for Congressional Complex or MICC. The complex was simply was not dismantled after 1945 or more colloquially put, turning swords back into plowshares. The total amnesia of Americans, forgetting or just ignoring the warnings of our intellectuals and founding fathers, Gore Vidal and James Madison: “A standing army is one of the greatest mischief’s that can possibly happen.” quote from James Madison, Debates, Virginia Convention, circa 1787 and Gore Vidal’s film, The United States of Amnesia, a must see.

The motivations behind genius and by what means to what ends have recently entered public forums especially regarding inventors and their steaming cauldrons aka computer modeling/programming, scientists and R&D that make for new discoveries. For example; the unnecessary creation of nuclear weapons have taught us one thing, they cannot be used toward any foreseeable tactical, logistical-military or political advantage other than to destroy mankind. Or for that matter gain-of function experiments using Furin Cleavage techniques to enhance virulence so as to conquer virulence?! say what?

The horrors continue to multiply, each discovery couched into phrases that are compartmentalized and separated so as to avoid unmasking all the terror that may well up when examining their combined interactions; CBW, balance of terror, Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) remember that one?, gain of function virulence (COVID/SARS), hyper-sonic missiles, neutron bombs (save property not life), again Furin Cleavage, overuse of antibiotics and Multiple drug resistance (MDR), pluripotent stem (iPS) cells from aborted human fetal stem cells, a slick marketing of cannibalism? Soylent Green? such “advances” in science are mere adaptations of that Hollywood movie e.g., using pluripotent technology to harvest human cells, towards the generation of livestock animal, again, iPSC lines for meat consumption?! Then there are robotic armies on the horizon Artificial Intelligence and nuclear warhead guidance ET cetra.

As the old Woodstock rock song lyric goes, sang by Crosby Stills Nash; it’s been a Long Time coming……the darkest hour is just before the dawn. But, will we make it to tomorrow? Science has run a muck, our leaders are sure to follow like lemmings over the edge and they will take the entire world with them. The current logic seems to be, if it’s possible to create it, just simply follow through, try it and to hell with the consequences?

There seems to be no reverse gear for our “leaders” and their attendant “experts”. Again, when China and Russia deployed hyper-sonic missiles, the consequences meant that all surface ships, in particular aircraft carriers could be sunk with one unstoppable strike. Now, powers in the west are in a panic. The balance of naval power thoroughly shaken and the projection of such power (aircraft carriers) greatly diminished. Our “leaders” have no brake, no guidelines to address a new brave world.

For heaven’s sakes it’s not about countries, the history of warfare, the Thucydides trap, secret societies, ethnic origins, religious frictions or factions. It’s really about us, each person, the choices we make everyday.. May I suggest that everyone voluntarily reduce the use, purchase or advertizement of any devise linked to the internet of things. Avoid looking down into your smart phone all day. Look up! the sky is blue and say hello to passers by, get real, get human! This small push back will eventually have a dramatic effect on where we are all headed.

For example; visit your local congresspersons, say to them, you know this consolidation of corporations and privacy issue thing(s) are getting very serious and out of your statutory control, how about a corporate accountability act that drops limited liability? scrub the whole NDAA idea eh?..bring a few friends, wear a suit and tie, freak yourself out! Perhaps the citizenry at large have lost the battle against Washington lobbyists working the beltway but individual meetings with city, county and state officials offers hope.
