US State Department funds UK think tank that aids in censorship of Americans

By Cindy Harper | Reclaim The Net | February 16, 2023

The US State Department funds UK-based Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), an organization that partners with platforms to flag misinformation and disinformation. The organization has been accused of classifying conservative viewpoints as hate and disinformation.

In September 2021, the State Department awarded ISD a grant to “advance the development of promising and innovative technologies against disinformation and propaganda” in the UK and Europe after it won the US-Paris Tech Challenge. The challenge was also won by the Global Disinformation Index (GDI), an organization that has been accused of demonetizing conservative news websites by putting them on a blacklist used by advertisers, the Daily Caller reported.

The State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC) funded the ISD to research Russian disinformation tactics on Wikipedia. However, the department insisted that it does not engage in content moderation on social media.

ISD has several partnerships with social media platforms on content moderation decisions. The organization is a member of Spotify’s Safety Advisory Council, which advises the platform on how to respond to misinformation.

ISD is also part of ’s Trusted Flagger program, whose members are tasked with improving the platform’s enforcement of its guidelines and can flag more content than other users.  said that it “prioritizes flags from Trusted Flaggers.”

The organization also has partnerships with Google to counter hate and extremism in the UK and Europe. It also partners with Amazon’s Audible, , and Microsoft.

ISD is mostly focused on extremism and terrorism. However, it has also been targeting what it deems misinformation and hate.

Around 70 more Joe Rogan episodes have disappeared from Spotify

By Cindy Harper | Reclaim The Net | February 4, 2022

Around 70 episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience have today disappeared, according to JREMissing, a tool that uses the Spotify API to detect episode deletions.

Reclaim The Net has confirmed that the episodes have indeed been deleted at the time of writing.

The missing episodes include interviews with Gad Saad, Michael Malice, Theo Von, Aubrey Marcus, Russell Peters, Tim Ferriss, and more.

The deleted episodes are separate from the batch of episodes that Spotify deleted when Rogan first joined the platform on an exclusive basis.

Spotify has yet to confirm if the deletions are intentional and has put out no statement on the matter.

Joe Rogan has been a target of outrage in recent weeks, with demands for censorship coming from Twitter all the way to the White House. The legacy media accuses Rogan of promoting “misinformation” about the Covid-19 vaccines for interviewing doctors who disagree with mandates and promote early treatments for Covid-19.

Spotify has been contacted for comment and this story will be updated when more information is available.

Spotify Now Censoring Song Lyrics That Contain “Misinformation”

By Paul Joseph Watson | Summit News | March 16, 2021

In a flashback to how art that offended the Soviet regime was blacklisted, streaming giant Spotify is now censoring song lyrics that contain “misinformation.”

Yes, really.

Music icon Ian Brown revealed that Spotify had deleted his anti-lockdown song Little Seed Big Tree, which was originally released last September.

“SPOTiFY stream the streams and censor artists like they have with my last song TOOK IT DOWN just put it down the memory hole! FREE EXPRESSiON AS REVOLUTION,” tweeted Brown.

The song included the lyrics;

Masonic lockdown, in your hometown
Masonic lockdown, can you hear me now
From the top down, soul shock down
State shakedown, mass breakdown
Global orders, riding over borders
Get behind your doors for the new world order

Brown has been a vehement voice against lockdown and mandatory vaccines, announcing that he had refused to be the headliner of Manchester’s Neighborhood Weekender festival because organizers indicated proof of COVID-19 vaccination may have been a condition of entry.

The former Stone Roses frontman asserted that he would, “NEVER sing to a crowd who must be vaccinated as a condition of attendance. NEVER EVER!”

“Spotify prohibits content on the platform which promotes dangerous false, deceptive, or misleading content about COVID-19 that may cause offline harm and/or pose a direct threat to public health. When content that violates this standard is identified it is removed from the platform,” a Spotify spokesperson told Reclaim The Net.

The practice is a continuation of enforcing a monoculture of thought by ensuring any form of art that carries a message which offends technocratic elites is blacklisted.

Throughout the course of the Soviet empire, dictators mandated that ‘socialist realism’ be the prescribed style of idealized art.

This meant that every sculpture, statue and painting had to conform to an established aesthetic in order to “educate citizens on how to be the perfect Soviets.”

In order to entrench loyalty to the Communist Party and advance a utopian image of Soviet society, “The purpose of socialist realism was to limit popular culture to a specific, highly regulated faction of emotional expression that promoted Soviet ideals.”
