US not ready for substantive dialogue with Russia on cybersecurity – Lavrov

RT | August 28, 2018

The US has not yet provided any evidence of ‘Russian hackers’ interfering in the 2016 presidential election, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday.

“For the second year we have been proposing that a bilateral working group on cybersecurity should be created to discuss and remove mutual concerns, including those related to influence on electoral processes in [the US and Russia],” he told the Slovak newspaper Pravda.

However, Washington is avoiding a “professional exchange of views,” he said.

It is only surprising “how easily it was possible to put a discussion of this unfounded theme at the center of the intra-American socio-political discussion,” Lavrov noted.

  1. RT is always short, to the point, readable, provocative, right on…thanks to it and to Aletho News!

FM Lavrov is, hands down, my most-favored public figure worldwide!

I pose a possible scenario regarding the FM’s observation of surprise as to “how easily it was possible to put a discussion of this unfounded theme at the center of the intra-American socio-political discussion.” Could it possibly be that the wall-to-wall obsession with the issue is a clever, focused act of disinformation, manipulation, diversion et al distracting the easily distracted, dumbed-down masses from the REAL source of “interfering” in US domestic and international policy planning, formulation, and execution? My candidate — no surprise for any person even nominally following my typical worldview in fora such as this — for that REAL source is, ineluctably, the scourge of modern political/militant Zionism. It — Zionism — is everywhere!
