The American Retreat from Vietnam
Tales of the American Empire | June 18, 2020
Supporters of the American empire proclaim the U.S. military invincible unless stabbed in the back by politicians. They say the US military won the war in Vietnam, but claim victory was lost after politicians cut off aid to South Vietnam. This is fake history. The Vietnam war was lost by 1963 after the CIA failed to establish a new nation that became known as South Vietnam. The arrival of American troops prevented a defeat, but only caused more death and destruction until they left.
Soon after the Americans departed, the fragile, corrupt puppet regime of South Vietnam collapsed. After this retreat, supporters of the American empire began to spread lies that South Vietnam collapsed in 1975 only because Democrats in Congress cut military aid. This deception begins with the half-truth that the 1968 Tet Offensive was a major defeat for the Vietnamese. This was true on the tactical level but it was a strategic disaster for the US military.

A New Era Of Mass Armies Approaches
BY IAN WELSH | SEPTEMBER 29, 2023
The army, or a part of it at the war college, has perked up and noticed some of the lessons of the Ukraine war, and that it’s a war that the US military could not fight. They’ve missed a lot of things, or felt they couldn’t/shouldn’t write about them, but they’ve figured some stuff out and written about them in a new report, “A Call to Action: Lessons from Ukraine for the Future Force” by Lieutenant Colonel Katie Crombe, and Professor John A. Nagle.
The entire thing is worth reading, but I’m going to pull out three of the main points. The first is that a volunteer US military can’t fight a real war.
The Russia-Ukraine War is exposing significant vulnerabilities in the Army’s strategic personnel depth and ability to withstand and replace casualties.11 Army theater medical planners may anticipate a sustained rate of roughly 3,600 casualties per day, ranging from those killed in action to those wounded in action or suffering disease or other non-battle injuries. With a 25 percent predicted replacement rate, the personnel system will require 800 new personnel each day. For context, the United States sustained about 50,000 casualties in two decades of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. In large-scale combat operations, the United States could experience that same number of casualties in two weeks. (emphasis mine)

Lots to watch/read/contemplate here. I was able only to read Boylan’s 2017 NYT commentary; it’s very good. My only quibble is that he refers to the “Vietnam War.” I learned a few years ago, and will not forget, that for the Vietnamese people the “Vietnam War” was in fact the “American War On Vietnam.” I was directly but not on-the-ground involved from 1963-7….

“Let us understand: North Vietnam cannot defeat or humiliate the USA. Only Americans can do it”………Richard Nixon….Nov 3. 1969.(and how right he was).
“We fought a Military War; our opponents fought a political one. We sought physical attrition; our opponents aimed at our psychological exhaustion. In the process, we lost sight of one of the Cardinal maxims of Guerilla War, The guerilla wins if he doesn’t lose The Conventional Army loses if it doesn’t win.
The North Vietnamese used their armed forces the way a Bullfighter uses his cape, to keep us lunging into areas of marginal political importance”……..Henry Kissinger
Henry Kissinger was(inexplicably) awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, jointly with the Vietnamese general Le Duc To, when the American forces fled back to the USA. Kissinger accepted his(and the money that goes with it) while Le Duc To refused his.
I imagine that the Afghans have used the same tactics, with the USA now in “Peace Talks” with the Taliban.
So Much waste of Life, time and at horrendous cost to the American Tax payers(but not the American arms manufacturers who use Tax Havens to avoid their financial responsibilities the the USA).

“I refuse to believe that a little fourth rate power like North Vietnam does not have a Breaking Point”…….Henry Kissinger…..Paris Peace Talks September 1970.
Henry Kissinger….WAR CRIMINAL.

Thanks, Brian. Somehow, that = typical Zionist-speak to me…arrogance unbridled, humility nowhere on display, humanity left at the door.

The problem for American people is, the Zionists in the USA Govt couldn’t care less about the young men(and now women) that they send into war zones. 58,600 died and over 260,000? were injured in Vietnam, fighting for a BIG FAT Lie.
“You can always hear the people who are willing to sacrifice somebody else’s life. They’re plenty loud and they talk all the time. You can find them in Churches and Schools and Newspapers and Legislatures and Congress. That’s their business.
They sound wonderful. “Death before dishonour”. “This ground, sanctified in blood”. “These men who died gloriously”, “They shall not have died in vain”, “Our Noble Dead”………Dalton Trombo.
It’s enough to make you Puke your guts up!

“Military men are just dumb, stupid animals, to be used as pawns in Foreign Policy”……….Henry(War Criminal)Kissinger.
My 19 year old brother had to fight in Vietnam(with the Australian Army), Thank God he came home in one piece.
The U.S. Army withdrew from Vietnam, finally, because American soldiers were “Fragging” their Superior Officers. Morale was destroyed, in the end.
