PR firm CEO tells Davos: businesses need to starve platforms that spread “disinformation” of revenue

During a panel discussion on “disrupting distrust” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, it was posited that combating the spread of “disinformation” by “right-wing groups” is a crucial step in restoring trust in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that collaborate with governments and other entities on initiatives aimed at ameliorating global issues.
The CEO of global communications firm Edelman, Richard Edelman, noted with regret the decline in trust towards NGOs in recent years and attributed this shift to the influence of right-wing groups, while noting that companies are now viewed as more trustworthy in addressing matters pertaining to civil society.
“My hypothesis on that is right-wing groups have done a really good job of disenfranchising NGOs,” he said. “They’ve challenged the funding sources. They’ve associated you with Bill Gates and George Soros. They’ve said that you’re world people, as opposed to actually what you are, which is local.”
Edelman said that platforms that allow “disinformation” need to be stripped of advertising, saying that what “business needs to do is deprive platforms that spread disinformation of oxygen, stop advertising, pull your promotion money, make sure that they understand that they have a consequential impact on society.”

Latvia urging UK to ‘prepare for war’ with Russia

The Baltic countries continue their “preparation for war with Russia.” Now, as if it were not enough to engage in a suicidal militarization campaign, Latvia is also demanding that the main NATO countries, such as the UK, also begin adopting radical measures to prepare for the “inevitable” confrontation with Moscow. The main Latvian criticism of the British concerns the military service, with the Baltic country asking the UK to immediately resume conscription policies to increase the size of its forces.
Latvia’s foreign minister, Krisjanis Karins, stated that all NATO countries should follow the Latvian example when it comes to military preparation. According to him, it is necessary to implement special militarization measures and improve defense capacity in the face of the supposed “Russian threat”, which is why Western countries should unite in a common military policy. Karins believes that not all NATO states are efficiently engaged in this military preparation process. In this regard, he criticizes even the stance of key countries in the bloc, such as the UK.
Karins was asked by a journalist from The Telegraph about whether London should adopt mandatory military service for its citizens. He resolutely responded that Latvia “strongly recommends” such an attitude. According to Karins, Latvia is developing a system called “total defense”, in which all the country’s efforts are directed towards expanding military capacity. “Disinformation” according to my dictionary, is defined as, “misleading information supplied intentionally”…….So, if disinformation rears its ugly head anywhere “Stop advertising and pull your promotion money”…..?
But, that will put Rupert Merde-Och(and many others, including Networks) out of business, won’t it ??
In actual fact, Edelman has highlighted the fact that “The advertising dollar” is used routinely, to spread only approved information….ie, DISINFORMATION.

This is really rich and Edelman certainly has the audacity to call his and their actions, the actions of the right wing groups.
First, NGOs and governments do not ameliorate global issues, rather they create them for all the people who never elected them.
Second, the decline in trust towards NGOs is not by influence of right wing groups, rather it is the result of lies, power grabs and activities that unelected NGOs are engaged in.
Third, challenging the funding sources and associating NGOs with such as Gates and Soros is the absolute truth of the matter, as the world observes the results of such collaboration toward devious ends.
Finally, if platforms continue to silence free speech they will lose their clientele, as most certainly must happen, if this world is to survive. Who are they to call other people’s thoughts “disinformation”, and their own thoughts “the gospel truth?”
Edelman and those of similar bent are delusional, arrogant, and rather stupid to make such statements, except in the company of their peers.
The internet must indeed be reclaimed, but from the clutches of the one world fascists, like Edelman.

A decline in trust with NGO’s? NGO’s are nothing more than hired guns to do the governments dirty work. Plausible deniability. It was a democratic NGO that is responsible for the current mess in Ukraine
