US ‘empire of lies’ should be investigated – top Russian MP

RT | February 5, 2023

The UN should open an investigation into Washington’s crimes against humanity, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin suggested on Sunday.

Writing on Telegram on the 20th anniversary of the infamous 2003 speech by then-US Secretary of State Colin Powell at the UN Security Council, during which he justified the ill-fated invasion of Iraq, Volodin offered a scathing criticism of what he described as the American “empire of lies.”

According to the speaker of the lower house of Russia’s parliament, this date marks “one of the biggest deceptions of the global community by the United States.” He recalled that during the landmark Security Council meeting Powell “accused Iraq of producing weapons of mass destruction, providing a vial with ‘white powder’ as proof.” At the time, the US secretary of state said the vial could be used to store anthrax.

While the UN did not approve the Iraq invasion, the US attacked the country anyway, he added. “Half a million civilians fell victims, the president was executed, the country was gone,” Volodin wrote, pointing out that Powell later admitted that the vial stunt was “a hoax,” but Washington was never held to account.

“All policies of the United States and the collective West are based on lies,” the Duma speaker stressed.

He noted that the same applied to NATO’s promises not to expand eastwards after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Eastern bloc, as well as to the 2014 and 2015 Minsk Agreements. The latter were signed by Russia, Ukraine, France, and Germany in a bid to pave the way for peace in Ukraine by granting the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics special status within the Ukrainian state.

These accords “also turned out to be a deception – but [former German Chancellor Angela] Merkel and [former French President Francois] Hollande acted as Powell did”, Volodin said. He was referring to the bombshell confessions by the two ex-leaders, who admitted in December that the Minsk Agreements were simply meant “to give Ukraine time” to strengthen its army.

“The UN should investigate Washington’s crimes against humanity. And the decision-makers should be punished for the millions of victims, refugees, broken destinies, destroyed states,” Volodin added.

  1. Identify the narrative (lie) makers. Identify the purveyors of lies. Identify the censors of truth.

  2. To the first comment as well as to the accusation of the United States as the “…empire of lies…”, yes. Lies to wage war, to capture the natural resources of any of those countries upon which America waged war and the theft thereof.

Include Israel, America’s partner and self-beneficiary of, “A land without a people, for a people without a land.” Include, the Golan Heights, the resources there, to be developed by Genie Oil and Gas, an Israeli company upon whose board is Dick Cheney, for example.

The only democracy in the middle east? What a colossal lie. What a colossal ruination to America to partner with a country which began as a war-invading people and their contributor monied backers, continued as a war country, the spoils it achieved, what it has been able to extort from America, the land and people there and adjacent to which it subjugates, a genocidal people/country, an apartheid country, all for its jewish citizen, but not for its ‘non-citizen’ citizens. Consider the censorship lies it enforces regarding assassinations, terrorist attacks–for surely those attacks known are such and those attacks with overwhelming evidence which Israel wants to deny. Examples of a nation/people adept at lying beyond all other nations…

As to America, the extent of lies are dumbfounding. Include Biden’s “We can make it happen,” remark as to the Nordstream sabotage. Qui bono? On and on and on and on.

How ominous the Biden Administration and his people have made of things for America: a partnership with the Ukraine in an ever-more obvious war with Russia; the above cited partnership with a terrorist state, Israel and its leading America to war with Iran… on and on and on.

The worst President ever. Worst! A lackey to Israel, lackey to… well on and on and on. The list is extensive, awful. Even more lying than that of Roosevelt to engage America into a war with Germany, Italy and Japan. George Patton had it right, when he said America fought the wrong enemy. No wonder he was assassinated, as is most very likely. James Forrestal was assassinated, as is most very likely. Kennedy, as most likely Israel had a hand in that, as well. Too much evidence to be dismissed. Lies to the contrary.

Consider if Joe “I’m a Chabbos Goy” Biden dropped dead and Kamala Harris then assumes the presidency, even for a week. Unless, one team consisting of Netanyahu, Greenblatt, Friedman, Victoria Nuland, et al, another team consisting of, well, on and on and on whispering in her other ear is regarded as good advisors…

Imagine the cackling. Imagine the catastrophic consequences…

  3. This has been correctly stated by a Russian while there is no one from the United States who dares tell the truth. Two million Vietnamese. One million Iraqis. Ten thousand Panamanians. Forty-seven thousand six hundred Afghanis, three hundred eighty thousand Syrians, and Libya. Before the NATO onslaught, Libya had the highest standard of living of any country in Africa. This meant the people enjoyed state-sponsored healthcare, high literacy rates, and other benefits that come with living in a relatively prosperous society. In 2015 alone, the country fell 27 places on the UN Human Development Index ratings. According to UNICEF, there are now two million Libyan children out of school.

The concept of nation-building has escaped the mindless wonders who run US foreign policy. General Powell later said he regretted his shameful actions before the UN. Does that excuse him? Not hardly. He was complicit in the Big Lie that doomed Iraq to the Shock and Awe of the Paul Wolfowitz gang in the Bush administration. The Bush regime in its totality should have been brought up on charges just like the Nazis were at Nuremberg for committing crimes against humanity. Instead, not even an apology was forthcoming from these fascist bastards. And they are still at it in Ukraine. Only this time the mighty NATO/US military is up against Russia and not some poorly equipped country like Iraq. And their proxy Ukraine is getting its ass kicked. Their solution of sending 14 Leopard tanks from Germany to assist Ukraine is a joke. And everybody knows it. Russia has 10,000 tanks with which to counter anything NATO throws at them. If NATO is dumb enough to send F16 fighter jets or even the A17 fighter bomber to Ukraine, who in the hell is going to fly them? Inexperienced, unseasoned Ukrainians?

This is where I think the war is headed. DOOM! It will Doom Ukraine. It will Doom NATO. And if the war is not stopped it will Doom civilization.

  4. The USA Government, (not the American people) is the largest Criminal Gang on Earth. They keep killing whoever is the nominated “Villain de Jour” around the World, and have been doing so since the end of WWII, when President Eisenhower, alerted the USA, and the World, to the emergence of the “Military Industrial Complex”.

The combined death toll, must easily exceed the death toll in the so called “Holocaust” of WWII. And, the Madness shows no sign of easing.

America’s most pressing task now, is a huge “CLEANOUT” of the criminals who have taken over “AMERICA”
