  1. I suppose if I owned $28Billion I would “Give it all away” like other extremely successful Billionaires and start a Philanthropic Trust. This would allow me to avoid paying any tax at all while still maintaining full control over my money.

The tax that I would avoid would result in a revenue drought in my country, which would then allow me to claim that my Government was wasting too much money on ‘Socialism’ which they financed by borrowing money from Bankers(to finance the National debt).
The National debt would then blow out further, and I would suggest that the only option for government would be to sell off national assets such as Electric Power systems, Water Supplies, Oil deposits, Minerals etc, Which I(and my equally Rich friends) would purchase, using the money we saved by not paying taxes.

It’s a “Winner Takes All” process(Like a game of Monopoly), and in the end, Me and my Rich friends would own everything(including the government which we would have bought and paid for).

What happens after that wouldn’t bother me at all……………………………

I urge those who haven’t read it, to read “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man”, because then you will understand that this is what actually is going on in the World.

  2. Excellent, sensitively written commentary, but its hopes and utopian ideals will never be realized as long as the current uber-capitalistic, “free-enterprise” system, upon which politicians and other “elites” feed and further their careers and profit sheets, prevails. Brian’s far-more-realistic take is just that: reality.
