From Evo Morales to Rodrigo Paz: Bolivia’s Dramatic Shift Toward Israel

Israel finds another South American country to prey on

José Niño Unfiltered | June 3, 2026

Bolivia is experiencing its deepest political and economic crisis in four decades, and the responses from Washington and Jerusalem have been striking in their similarity. Since early May 2026, a massive wave of protests led by Indigenous communities, miners, peasant unions, transport workers, teachers, and supporters of former leftist president Evo Morales has swept the country. Dozens of roadblocks have shut down highways, cutting off food, fuel, and medical supplies to cities. Protesters are demanding the resignation of President Rodrigo Paz, a center-right figure who took office on November 8, 2025, ending nearly 20 years of rule by the left-wing Movement for Socialism.

The protesters’ core grievances include fuel shortages, year-on-year inflation exceeding 20 percent at the time Paz took office, austerity cuts including the elimination of state fuel subsidies under Supreme Decree 5503—which practically doubled the consumer cost of fuel overnight—and a land classification law, Law 1720, seen as threatening Indigenous land rights by making farmland eligible for seizure as loan collateral. Although the government repealed Law 1720 on May 13, protests have continued to spread, with demands expanding to include wage increases, labor reform, and Paz’s resignation

The Paz government came to power on a platform of re-aligning Bolivia with the United States and Western financial institutions. Within weeks of taking office, Paz met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and signed a deal restoring Bolivia’s full diplomatic relations with Israel, which had been severed in 2023 under the prior MAS government to protest the war in Gaza. He also secured a $3.1 billion loan from a Latin American development bank, invited the DEA back into Bolivia, and joined Trump’s “Shield of the Americas” security coalition alongside Argentina, El Salvador, and a dozen other right-leaning governments. … continue

EU pushing Armenia to expel Russian Orthodox Church – intel service

RT | June 3, 2026

The European Union is pressuring Armenia to expel the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) from the country as a prerequisite to EU integration, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has alleged.

In a statement on Wednesday, the SVR said that EU officials had made severing religious ties with Moscow a condition for closer ties with the West, a policy it said is being pursued by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The landlocked nation maintains close economic ties with Russia and hosts one of Moscow’s few military bases abroad. It is set to elect a new parliament on Sunday. Critics of Pashinyan have warned that he is steering Armenia down a path similar to Ukraine’s after the 2014 Western-backed coup. One of Kiev’s hallmark policies has been a crackdown on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which authorities accuse of promoting Russian interests. … continue

Is Hungary about to give Ukraine the EU green light?

RT | June 3, 2026

Hungary is on the cusp of lifting its veto on Ukraine beginning formal accession talks with the EU, according to hints from Prime Minister Peter Magyar and strategic leaks from Brussels. But why now? And will he compromise on Hungarian rights?

Speaking alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin on Tuesday, Magyar said that he is “very optimistic” that a deal can be done to guarantee the rights of Ukraine’s Hungarian minority, in exchange for his government lifting the veto.

“The negotiations are progressing encouragingly,” he said, adding “I am ready to meet with Ukraine’s president at the beginning of next week, if we manage to agree on these fundamental human rights.”

Within an hour of Magyar’s statement, Politico published an article claiming that Budapest had privately “signaled it will drop its long-standing opposition to Ukraine’s bid for EU membership,” citing four unnamed diplomats. … continue

UK cops arrest dying victim over ‘racism’ accusation (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

RT | June 2, 2026

British police have released bodycam footage showing officers ignoring the dying pleas of an 18-year-old stabbing victim, after his attacker falsely claimed that he had been the victim of a racist attack.

Released on Monday, the footage shows officers handcuffing student Henry Nowak as he lay dying after being stabbed multiple times by 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa in Southampton last year.

Nowak told the officers five times that he had been stabbed, to which one officer replied “I don’t think you have, mate.” Nowak was handcuffed and dragged across gravel, as Digwa remained uncuffed, telling officers that Nowak had torn off his turban in a racially-motivated attack.

The officers ignored Nowak’s pleas to call an ambulance and informed him that he was under arrest for assault, as he lost consciousness and drowned in his own blood.

Digwa was found guilty of murder last week and sentenced on Monday to 21 years in prison. The court heard that he attacked Nowak with no provocation, with prosecutors calling his claim of racism “a wicked lie.” Digwa’s mother was also found guilty of assisting an offender by hiding the knife that Digwa used to kill Nowak. … Full article

Ukrainian drone kills eight civilians on Moscow-Crimea bus – governor

RT | June 3, 2026

At least eight people have been killed and 11 others wounded in a Ukrainian drone strike on a passenger bus in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), local governor Denis Pushilin has said.

The bus was traveling between Moscow and the Crimean city of Simferopol and was attacked in the town of Enakievo in the western part of the DPR, Pushilin wrote in a post on Telegram on Wednesday morning. The initial death toll stood at seven, but it was revised later in the day when emergency services inspected the burned-out vehicle. […]

Russia’s human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova, asserted that the attack was “not a tragic accident” but rather a “vile, deliberate, and inhumane crime” against non-combatants.

“There are no military objectives that could justify the bloodshed of civilians. There are no arguments that can absolve those who issue and execute such criminal orders from responsibility,” she stressed.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has announced that a terrorism case has been opened over the attack on the bus.

Russia was hit by another major Ukrainian drone attack overnight, with 345 UAVs shot down across the country, according to the Defense Ministry. The interceptions took place over Moscow, Leningrad, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Novgorod, Orel, Pskov, Rostov, Smolensk, Tver, Tula, and Krasnodar regions, as well as over Crimea and the Sea of Azov, the ministry said. … Full article

Iran rejects US assassination claim, says Washington trying to whitewash its own crimes against Iranians

Press TV – June 3, 2026

Iran has strongly rejected accusations by the US secretary of state that Tehran seeks to assassinate American officials, slamming Washington for attempting to portray itself as a victim while concealing own record of war crimes against the Iranian people.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei sharply rebuked allegations by Marco Rubio that Iran is allegedly plotting to assassinate American officials, denouncing the claims as another example of Washington’s efforts to distort reality and deflect attention from its own actions.

The Iranian official said the unfounded allegations reflected a mentality that projects its own conduct onto others.

“Everyone imagines others according to their own creed,” Baghaei wrote in a post on his X account on Wednesday, stressing, “Playing the victim cannot whitewash the savage war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity that you have committed against the Iranian nation.”

Baghaei responded to remarks that Rubio made during a congressional hearing, where the top US diplomat claimed that Iran was seeking to target American officials.

This came as a US-Israeli military coalition, during an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran that began on February 28, assassinated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution along with several senior officials and military commanders, while also killing thousands of people across the country.

IRGC retaliates in strikes on US forces in Kuwait, Bahrain

Al Mayadeen | June 2, 2026

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that missile and drone strikes targeted the United States Fifth Fleet headquarters and other American military positions in the Gulf following renewed US attacks on Iranian territory and infrastructure.

The IRGC said that the operation came after a US strike damaged an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz and another attack hit a telecommunications tower south of Qeshm Island.

In response to the US attacks, the IRGC Aerospace Force and the IRGC Navy targeted multiple enemy assets across the Gulf. … Full article

IRGC Navy: 24 vessels passed through Strait of Hormuz under its coordination

Press TV – June 2, 2026

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy says 24 vessels have transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours after obtaining permission and receiving security support from the force.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the IRGC Navy’s public relations office said that the vessels were able to pass through the strategic waterway following coordination with the force and under its security protection.

The statement said the “smart control” of the Strait of Hormuz is being carried out with authority and vigilance, stressing that “hostile foreign elements” would have no place in the Persian Gulf and the strategic waterway. … Full article

Trump’s Iran War Has Already Cost Each American Household $750

By Kyle Anzalone | The Libertarian Institute | June 2, 2026

The credit agency Moody’s has calculated that the war against Iran has cost each American household $750.

Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi said that in under three months of war, the cost of the war against Iran has already offset the additional tax breaks Americans received under President Donald Trump’s tax cuts. “As of May 16th, the bigger tax refunds Americans have received this year no longer cover the higher costs of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel caused by the war,” he wrote on X.

While the Pentagon has claimed the cost of the war is around $25 billion, Moody’s calculates the costs to Americans are $750 per household or $100 billion in total.

Zandi said the economic impact will primarily hit middle- and lower-class Americans, who will be forced to change their spending habits. “With the saving rate about as low as it ever goes, unless the war ends soon and energy prices come down, they will have little choice but to rein in their spending, weighing further on the already sagging economy,” he explained.

Israel and the US attacked Iran amid negotiations earlier this year. While initially predicting a quick victory, Trump has been unable to force Iran to comply with his demands. Additionally, Tehran has attacked oil assets in Gulf Arab states and shut down the Strait of Hormuz.

The President has claimed that he is willing to let the war drag on and is not concerned about Americans’ financial situation.

Trump Claims Iran and US Officials Continue Negotiations

By Kyle Anzalone | The Libertarian Institute | June 2, 2026

A day after Iran said that it had broken off talks with the US over Israeli ceasefire violations in Lebanon, President Donald Trump claimed that negotiations were continuing.

“Fake News Reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the U.S.A., stopped speaking a few days ago are false and erroneous,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday. “The conversations between us have been going on continuously, including four days ago, three days ago, two days ago, one day ago, and today.”

He continues, “Where they lead, one never knows, but as I told Iran, ‘It’s time, one way or another, for you to make a Deal. You’ve been doing this for 47 years, and it cannot be allowed to go on any longer!’”

His post followed Iranian media reporting that Terhan had called off talks with the US. “Due to the continuation of the Zionist regime’s actions in Lebanon and given that Lebanon was one of the preconditions of the ceasefire and that this ceasefire has now been violated on all fronts,” Iran’s semiofficial Tasmin news agency reported Monday. “The Iranian negotiating team will suspend ‘talks and the exchange of texts through mediators.’”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on X that the ceasefire must apply to all fronts of the war and that “the US and Israel are responsible for the consequences of any violation.”

The President initially said that he was unconcerned about talks ending. Trump said that he was unconcerned if Iran breaks off talks and will wait out Tehran. “I think we’ve been talking too much if you want to know the truth. I think going silent would be very good, and that could be that could be for a long time,” the President told Garrett Haake. “It doesn’t mean we’re going to go and start dropping bombs all over there. We’ll just go silent. We’ll keep the blockade. Blockade is a piece of steel.”

In April, the US and Iran agreed to a ceasefire brokered by Pakistan. That truce was intended to cover all warring parties, including Lebanon. However, after agreeing to the ceasefire, Washington and Tel Aviv claimed that it did not cover Israeli military operations in Lebanon. … Full article

Israeli strikes kill eight in Lebanon after Trump’s claim of de-escalation deal

Press TV – June 2, 2026

Israeli airstrikes killed at least eight people in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, including a father and his two children, as the Tel Aviv regime continued its attacks on the country.

The deadly strikes came hours after US President Donald Trump claimed that Israel and Hezbollah had agreed to stop “all shooting.”

However, fighting showed little sign of easing, with Israeli forces carrying out fresh attacks across southern Lebanon and Hezbollah responding by retaliatory rocket and drone attacks against Israeli military positions and settlements in the occupied territories.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone strike hit a vehicle on the road linking Marjayoun and Nabatiyeh, killing a Lebanese dentist, James Karam and his two children.

In a separate attack, two Lebanese soldiers were wounded when an Israeli drone targeted an area near Nabatiyeh, the Lebanese army said. … Full article

Israel kills 4, injures 127 in attack near hospital in southern Lebanon: Health ministry

Press TV – June 2, 2026

At least four people have been killed and 127 others wounded after an Israeli airstrike struck the vicinity of Jabal Amel Hospital in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said 39 hospital staff members were among the injured, including “four doctors, 27 nurses and eight administrative employees.”

Four of the wounded healthcare workers remain in critical condition and are receiving treatment in intensive care units, it added.

The ministry said the attack on Monday evening caused extensive damage to the hospital, affecting multiple departments and the facility’s parking area.

The inpatient ward, radiology department and intensive care unit were among the areas severely damaged, it said, adding that one wall of an operating room was blown open, forcing medical staff to urgently transfer several intensive care patients to safer areas within the hospital.

The death toll could rise further, the ministry warned, as recovery teams continue to search through the rubble. … Full article

Colonizers Injure Children, Torch Groves, Expand Outposts

IMEMC | June 2, 2026

Three Palestinian children from the village of Abwein, northwest of Ramallah, were injured on Monday when illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked their father’s vehicle near the Shilo colony on the road linking Ramallah and Nablus.

A 14‑year‑old child sustained moderate head injuries after being struck with a stone, while his two siblings, aged six and two, suffered minor wounds from shattered glass, medical sources said.

In Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, colonizers installed several caravans and metal structures on privately owned Palestinian land that had been bulldozed and stripped of its olive trees in recent months.

Local sources said the structures were placed in the Shuab area, near the home of the Abu Awad family, as part of ongoing efforts to impose new colonial facts on the ground and expand surrounding colonial outposts. … Full article

Capitulate or Die: The Gaza ‘peace process’ and Western propaganda

By Andi Olluri | Al Mayadeen | June 1, 2026

Andi Olluri argues that the Gaza “peace process” serves as a propaganda framework that legitimizes Israeli occupation and Western policy objectives while presenting Palestinian surrender and disarmament as prerequisites for peace. Media and political elites, he contends, have systematically reframed ongoing violence, occupation, and collective punishment as diplomacy, while marginalizing Palestinian proposals for political settlement. … continue

Israel kills three Palestinians amid ongoing Gaza ceasefire violations

Press TV – June 2, 2026

At least three Palestinians have been killed and several others injured in a series of separate Israeli attacks across the besieged Gaza Strip, amid continued violations of a fragile ceasefire by the occupying entity.

Medical sources said on Tuesday that at least one person was killed and several others wounded when an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle on Salah al-Din Street, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Another Palestinian was killed after being shot in the head by Israeli forces north of Khan Yunis in the southern part of the blockaded territory.

Separately, a source at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said a Palestinian was killed, and five others were injured at dawn when an Israeli drone struck a gathering of civilians in the Bani Abu Salah area of central Gaza.

Artillery shelling and other Israeli attacks were also reported in the southern areas of Khan Yunis.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military continued demolishing buildings and facilities in areas under its control in northern and southern Gaza.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently instructed the military to expand its occupation of Gaza to 70 percent of the territory after a cabinet minister confirmed the regime’s plan for the “ethnic cleansing” of the strip.

Netanyahu had earlier acknowledged reports that Israeli forces currently occupy 60 percent of Gaza, significantly more than the 53 percent permitted under the terms of last year’s ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Ministers in Netanyahu’s cabinet have stated that they seek to fully occupy Gaza and expel its nearly two million Palestinian residents to pave the way for Israeli settlements in the territory. Last week, Israel’s minister of military affairs, Israel Katz, said he remains committed to the large-scale forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza as part of Israel’s long-term plans for the territory.

Speaking at his daily press briefing in New York, UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric discussed the latest developments in the Middle East.

Dujarric said: “yesterday, an air strike hit the rooftop of a UN school building in Nuseirat, in Gaza, which is used to shelter displaced families, resulting in damage.”

He added: “Fortunately, we have received no reports of injuries resulting from this attack.” … Full article

Blowing Up Small Boats for Naught

By Adam Dick | Peace and Prosperity Blog | June 2, 2026

… The so-called justification for this killing spree is to win, or at least make headway in, the war on drugs. But, it turns out the evidence indicates that the violence and destruction has contributed nothing to impeding the flow of verboten drugs in America.

Longtime drug war chronicler Jacob Sullum provided in a Friday Reason article an assessment of the failure of this new tactic to achieve even a modest US government gain in its war on drugs. Concluded Sullum in his article, “nearly nine months after Trump launched his new, deadlier version of the war on drugs, there is no evidence that it is more effective than the traditional tactics he derides as insufficiently homicidal.” This conclusion, Sullum detailed, is supported by outcomes including increased cocaine seizures at the border, stability in street prices of cocaine and the amount of adulterants added to cocaine, and no drop in cocaine being detected in drug fatalities. … Full article

Venezuela healthcare in dire straits as US forces Cuban doctors exit

Al Mayadeen | June 2, 2026

Venezuela’s public healthcare system is facing mounting pressure as Cuban medical personnel continue to leave the country, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, raising concerns about the future of a healthcare partnership that has for decades been a cornerstone of relations between Caracas and Havana.

According to the report, Cuban doctors, specialists, and other healthcare workers have been departing medical facilities across Venezuela amid growing US efforts to curtail Cuba’s overseas medical missions, which Washington argues generate significant revenue for the Cuban government.

The developments are reportedly being felt acutely in public healthcare centers serving low-income communities. At the Salvador Allende medical center in eastern Caracas, patients seeking specialized treatment have increasingly found services unavailable following the departure of Cuban staff members, including pediatricians, gynecologists, ophthalmologists, and physiotherapists.

“Expelling Cuban doctors will not lead to political change in Cuba, but it will set back healthcare in Venezuela,” said Miguel Tinker Salas, a historian at Pomona College in California. “The populations that depended on those services will bear the brunt.”

The healthcare mission has long been one of Cuba’s largest international programs. By the end of last year, approximately 13,000 Cuban health workers were operating in Venezuela, providing services ranging from primary care and dental treatment to eye surgeries and diabetes management, including in remote and Indigenous communities where access to healthcare remains limited. … Full article

Do Palantir’s bosses have blood on their hands over the Starobelsk massacre?

By Finian Cunningham | Strategic Culture Foundation | June 2, 2026

The murder of 21 Russian students at a college dormitory on May 22 has yet to be fully understood in terms of the exact involvement of NATO states.

The university building in Starobelsk, Lugansk, was attacked in the early hours of the morning with 16 drones in three consecutive waves of assault. The targeting of the dormitory was deliberate. There were no Russian military installations in the vicinity.

NATO’s involvement in this act of terrorism is on multiple levels. Ukraine’s use of unmanned aerial vehicles has ramped up in recent months, in line with the massive financial support provided by the European Union in the form of a €90 billion loan, most of which is dedicated to boosting Ukraine’s drone arsenal, with European manufacturing companies working in partnership. … continue

US Eyes Spreading its Nuclear Footprint Deeper into Europe – Report

Sputnik – 02.06.2026

The US is weighing whether to expand NATO’s nuclear-sharing framework by inviting more alliance members to host American dual-capable aircraft—warplanes configured to deliver nukes, reports the Financial Times.

At present, the arrangement includes Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkiye and the UK.

Under its terms, the US retains full custody of the nuclear warheads, which are stored at select European bases, while allied air forces train for nuclear deterrence missions using aircraft such as the F-35, F-15, and Tornado.

The discussions are reportedly driven in part by a need to reassure European allies of Washington’s enduring commitment to NATO’s nuclear deterrent—even as the US scales back some conventional troop deployments on the continent and pushes allies to shoulder more defense responsibility.

The talks remain at an early, highly confidential stage, with no imminent decisions anticipated.

Nevertheless, nations on NATO’s eastern flank—notably Poland and several of Russia’s neighbors—have already signaled interest in a possible expansion of the nuclear-sharing deal.

Russia has repeatedly cautioned that any deployment of nuclear-capable assets close to its borders would be seen as a destabilizing factor, and a direct threat to its national security.

Kiev admitted it launched drones at NATO member – media

RT | June 2, 2026

Ukraine launched explosive-laden drones towards Finland, triggering an alert that affected 1.8 million people, Helsingin Sanomat reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The incident took place on May 15 and set off a major security alert in the southern Finnish region of Uusimaa, which includes the country’s capital, Helsinki. The warning halted air traffic at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and triggered a lockdown order by the authorities.

Finnish officials did not initially disclose details of the alert, stating only that the drones could be approaching from Russia, creating the impression that the threat was linked to Moscow.

According to HS, however, the emergency measures were prompted by a warning from Ukraine, which said it had accidentally sent drones carrying explosives toward Finland.

The Finnish Defense Forces later said no violation of Finnish airspace had been detected. HS reported that it remains unclear why the drones never entered the country, noting that Russian air defenses may have shot them down en route.

The report has prompted criticism from Finnish lawmakers. Members of the Foreign Affairs Committee said they were not told that the warning came from Ukraine, which was essential information that should have been shared immediately. … continue

Russia Raises Alarm Over Ukraine’s Surging Black Sea Terrorist Activity

Sputnik – 02.06.2026

MOSCOW – Russia is concerned about Ukraine’s mounting terrorist activity in the Black Sea, which is raising risks for civilian shipping, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Tuesday.

“We are concerned about the noticeable escalation of terrorist activity in the Black Sea by Ukraine, which leads to a deterioration of conditions and an increase in risks to civilian shipping,” Zakharova said in a statement.

On May 29, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that a drone had attacked a Turkish-owned vessel in the Black Sea, injuring two people. Ankara said it had conveyed its concern to all parties about a possible escalation in the region.

Ukraine’s military stages bandit raids on Black Sea ships with drones and unmanned boats — then pins the attacks on Russia, the spokeswoman said.

“These attacks on civilian commercial vessels have once again shown that the Kiev junta has complete disregard for the principles and norms of international law — preferring instead to deny any involvement in the incidents,” Zakharova said. … continue

Israel in meltdown after Netanyahu cancels Beirut strikes

The Cradle | June 2, 2026

… According to Haaretz newspaper, the threats to attack Beirut were “hollow” – even before the US intervention.

Trump made a statement late on Monday after the forced displacement orders were issued for all of Beirut’s southern suburb. The president claimed a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel was reached.

In an attempt to declare there will be no strikes on Beirut, Trump said Israeli “troops” were no longer on their way to Beirut.

The Israeli army has been facing fierce resistance in south Lebanon and was, in fact, never on its way to Beirut.

The US president’s announcement came as the Islamic Republic of Iran threatened to strike Israel and collapse negotiations with Washington.

Tehran also issued formal evacuation orders to northern Israeli settlements and urged them to flee immediately in the event that Beirut was bombed. … Full article

IRGC Navy strikes US-Israeli cargo ship MSC Sariska in retaliation for attack on Iranian vessel

Press TV – June 2, 2026

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has struck the giant cargo ship MSC Sariska, affiliated with the American‑Zionist enemy, with a cruise missile in a reciprocal operation after a US attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Sea of Oman.

The IRGC Navy’s public relations department announced on Tuesday that the strike was a direct response to the “aggressive and treacherous attack” by the US military on the Iranian bulk carrier Lian Star.

“In response to the aggressive attack by the terrorist and child‑killing US army on the Iranian vessel Lian Star in the Sea of Oman, the IRGC Navy conducted a reciprocal operation and struck the MSC Sariska with a cruise missile,” the statement said, as carried by Sepah News.

The MSC Sariska, a Panamanian‑flagged vessel, was targeted near Iraqi waters and sustained a major explosion.

The IRGC Navy warned that any further aggression by the US army in the region will be met with a decisive response. … continue

Russia accuses France and the UK of piracy over cargo ship seizure

RT | June 1, 2026

Moscow accused France and the UK of engaging in an act of “piracy” after French and British naval forces intercepted and diverted a cargo ship sailing from Russia’s Murmansk to Cameroon in international waters.

The vessel, Tagor, was stopped on Sunday, more than 400 nautical miles off the coast of Brittany, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. French authorities claim the ship was operating under a “false” flag.

In a statement on Tueday, Zakharova said the Russian Embassy in Paris has demanded full information concerning the circumstances of the detention, warning that the operation violated international maritime law. She also stated that Moscow is taking measures to protect Russian crew members aboard the vessel.

The spokeswoman rejected France’s justification for the operation, which cited Article 110 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. The provision allows warships to board and inspect vessels on the high seas under limited circumstances, including when a ship is suspected of having no nationality.

However, international maritime law does not permit a warship to compel a vessel to alter course and escort it from international waters to a national port, according to Moscow.

Zakharova also dismissed French President Emmanuel Macron’s insinuation that the ship was violating “international sanctions,” arguing that only restrictions approved by the UN Security Council qualify as international sanctions. Unilateral measures imposed by European states cannot be considered international under law, she said.

The spokeswoman accused European governments of selectively interpreting legal norms to suit their interests, while cautioning that attempts to enforce sanctions in areas governed by freedom of navigation could have broader consequences for global shipping.

She added that many vessels operating in the interests of European countries sail under so-called flags of convenience, cautioning that extending such enforcement practices to the high seas could prove costly for international maritime trade.

‘Luring Russia into war’

By Joe Lauria | Consortium News | May 30, 2026

Is NATO provoking a direct war with Russia?

In 2022, the U.S. provoked Moscow to invade Ukraine so Washington could attempt to destroy Russia’s economy with sanctions, orchestrate worldwide condemnation in an information war and lead a proxy ground operation to bleed Russia — all part of an attempt to bring down its government.

In case there’s any doubt that this is the goal, recall what President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government said right after Russia’s intervention.

On the day Russia invaded, Biden admitted that the sanctions weren’t meant to prevent an invasion. “No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening. … This is going to take time. And we have to show resolve so he [Putin] knows what’s coming and so the people of Russia know what he’s brought on them. That’s what this is all about.” … continue

Hungarian PM Magyar claims that he has obtained billions in EU funds, but what strings are attached?

Orbán is skeptical, writing: “Free cheese is only in the mousetrap”

Remix News | June 1, 2026

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar recently traveled to Brussels to discuss the country’s frozen EU funds, which have reportedly been withheld illegally up until now. Despite Magyar’s claims that the money would be released simply in return for fighting corruption, various media outlets are reporting there is much more to the deal than that, including indications that Hungary will have to implement the EU’s demand for migrant quotas under the Migrant Pact one way or another.

“Based on today’s meeting, €16.4 billion euros have been unlocked,” the Hungarian prime minister told the press after Friday’s meeting. However, that is also not true, as there are still many conditions the country must meet before the money is made available.

Officials from the EU commission were far more cautious with their description of the deal, saying the broad strokes of the deal had been determined, but conditions must still be met.

“We haven’t agreed to disburse the funds,” a senior commission official told Politico. “We’ve agreed on a list of commitments which, if completed by Aug. 31, will trigger the payment of those funds.”

In addition, inquiries made by journalists yielded no official details regarding the specific terms of the pact. … continue

Trump’s Ballroom: The Capstone and the Buried Chambers of the Deep Digital State

By Freddie Ponton | 21st Century Wire | June 1, 2026

Donald Trump promised to put America First. Yet right now, beneath the East Wing of the White House, something very different is taking shape. Trump himself described it plainly. A six-level underground complex with a military hospital, research facilities, bomb shelters, and hardened command installations. Two floors were already being dug by May. The glittering new ballroom above ground is little more than a capstone. A polished lid sitting over a much darker project.

The people funding that visible monument are the usual players in federal contracting. Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Apple, Palantir, Lockheed Martin, and Booz Allen Hamilton all appear on the donor list. These are not random patriots writing checks for pretty architecture. These are the same companies already positioned to dominate federal cloud contracts, AI systems, surveillance tools, and data consolidation. To put it bluntly, they pay for the spectacle while wiring the machine running underneath it.

That same corporate world has now moved straight into the White House advisory structure. In March 2026, Trump named the first members of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). Oracle’s Safra Catz and Larry Ellison. Dell’s Michael Dell. Other tech barons whose companies control the cloud, the chips, the data, and the platforms. In late May, he added former Attorney General Pam Bondi. David Sacks welcomed her specifically because she knows how to clear legal and regulatory barriers for the AI agenda. Builders, funders, and enforcers, all sitting in the same room. … continue

Jordan Valley – Settlers set fire to a field near a family home; then army forbids family to access their land

International Solidarity Movement | June 1, 2026

On May 29 at around 11:00 PM, settlers set fire to a field near a family’s home in Humsa, northern Jordan Valley. The fire was later put out and two ATVs were seen driving back and forth from the field. The settlers then called the military and the police and were seen talking to each other on the road leading to the family’s house, before approaching and beginning to harass the family at half past midnight. ISM activists were also present.

The military first asked for one of the father’s identification papers, and told him that he is no longer allowed to access any of his fields that surround his house. After this, two settlers began to walk menacingly around the family’s house, accompanied by the military. It was clear that the soldiers were collaborating and receiving instructions from the settlers.

The settlers began yelling and threatening the family, including the women, and accused them of setting the field on fire. The family resisted these lies, and told the military that they had been asleep and in their homes when the fire began. The settlers then began to escalate the situation, and threatened the Palestinians to return next time without the military, insinuating that they would come again to commit criminal acts of violence. The military then filmed the family and again repeated that the Palestinians are not allowed to access their land. The settlers and the military finally left around 30 minutes later, at 01:00 AM.

This is yet another example of collaboration between settlers, who have committed criminal acts of violence against Palestinians time and time again, and the Israeli military to work towards the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian land.

This Palestinian family was attacked just a couple of months ago by a group of settlers in the middle of the night, where over 400 sheep were stolen. … Full article

Soldiers Shoot Palestinian In Tulkarem, Continue West Bank Violations

IMEMC | June 1, 2026

Israeli occupation forces shot and injured a young Palestinian man on Sunday in the occupied West Bank after opening fire at his vehicle between the Thannaba neighborhood and the Al‑Salam area east of Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank.

Fathi Nasrallah, a medic at the governmental hospital, said he learned that his nephew, Hasan Nasrallah, had been driving to a fuel station while heading to his in‑laws’ home for dinner with his wife and child.

According to Nasrallah, soldiers on foot began shouting at Hasan as he approached the station, then opened fire, wounding him with a live round that entered his right thigh and exited through the upper left leg.

He was rushed to surgery with multiple fragment wounds, and doctors said the bullet appeared to be an expanding round that caused additional damage to the pelvis and abdomen. … Full article

Gaza: Israeli Airstrikes Kill Two Palestinians Amid Escalating Attacks

IMEMC | June 1, 2026

Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Sunday evening when an Israeli military Apache helicopter fired missiles at a group of civilians inside the Gaza fishermen’s port west of Gaza City.

Medical teams at the Shifa Hospital confirmed the arrival of two slain Palestinians and multiple wounded from the targeted area.

Local reporters said the helicopter fired several rounds directly at civilians gathered inside the fishermen’s port, west of Gaza city.

Al‑Jazeera Arabic reported that the strike occurred during intense aerial activity, with drones and warplanes circling low over western Gaza City.

Civil defense crews struggled to reach the wounded due to continued fire in nearby areas and the presence of additional aircraft overhead.

Throughout the evening, Israeli forces carried out multiple attacks across the Gaza Strip. Helicopters opened fire toward northern Gaza, causing widespread panic among residents and damaging structures near the targeted sites.

In the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, a quadcopter drone dropped an explosive device on a group of civilians near Dawla Junction, wounding several people, some of them critically, the Arabs48 news website said.

Israeli artillery also shelled the vicinity of Al‑Hattabiyya Street in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, while warplanes and drones continued to fly at low altitude. … Full article

Australian Sumud Flotilla activists file ICC war crimes case against Israel over torture, sexual violence

The Cradle | June 1, 2026

Australian activists who took part in the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza filed a formal submission with the International Criminal Court (ICC) on 30 May, accusing Israel of war crimes based on documented evidence of torture and sexual violence sustained during their abduction and imprisonment.

The legal filing, submitted by 11 Australian survivors of the Flotilla and their legal team, is supported by dozens of survivor testimonies, video evidence, medical records, and sworn statements.

This evidence details severe beatings and sexual abuse following the 18 May interception of an international aid mission carrying food and medicine to the besieged Gaza Strip in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade of the enclave.

One specific account included in the submission describes an Australian humanitarian worker being forcibly injected with an unidentified substance by Israeli captors.

The submission also incorporates video evidence, including footage posted to social media by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who boasted of the ill treatment and showed handcuffed activists on their knees being taunted by Israeli soldiers.

The Global Sumud Flotilla reports that at least 67 participants suffered injuries during their imprisonment that required medical evaluation, with 12 individuals requiring hospitalization.

One survivor, Australian filmmaker Juliet Lamont, in an interview with Double Down News, recounted being dragged into a shipping container she called a “torture tunnel” where she was placed in a stress position, hands restrained behind her back, and ankles shackled in the dark before being “vaginally raped by one of the male soldiers,” while “other people had guns inserted inside them.”

She added that a 70-year-old woman’s ribs had been broken as “howls of torture and pain” would emit from the same chamber she had been tortured in. … continue

AIPAC concealing support for candidates as its brand becomes ‘toxic’ in Democratic primaries: Report

Press TV – June 1, 2026

… AIPAC has encouraged donors to contribute through online portals it controls that direct funds straight to candidates’ campaigns, thereby “erasing AIPAC’s fingerprints in public data.”

The tactic was reportedly used in Michigan, where Congresswoman Haley Stevens is running for an open Senate seat against Abdul el-Sayed. During the campaign, el-Sayed criticized Stevens for accepting AIPAC-linked funding, saying the money had “bought” her support for continued US military aid for Tel Aviv.

The Detroit News reported that AIPAC raised several million dollars for Stevens through a fundraising page hosted on its website. Ha’aretz also said the group previously emailed donors directing them to candidate-specific donation pages on the “Pro-Israel Network” website rather than to AIPAC itself.

The report added that these portals allow AIPAC to gather donor information and share it with candidates, while working on their behalf and “shielding” the process from public view. According to Ha’aretz, the strategy helps candidates avoid criticism for accepting AIPAC support at a time when only 13 percent of Democratic voters reportedly view the regime favorably. … Full article

Two US political commentators banned from UK for criticizing ‘Israel’

Al Mayadeen | June 1, 2026

The UK government has blocked two prominent left-wing US political commentators, Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur, from entering the country, reportedly over remarks concerning “Israel”.

Piker, a political streamer with 1.9 million YouTube subscribers, and Uygur, co-founder of The Young Turks, said they had been denied entry to the UK. He said in a social media post that he was prevented from boarding a flight to London to attend SXSW London and deliver a speech at Oxford.

“I’ve been banned from the UK. I tried to get on a flight to London to attend SXSW London and give a speech at Oxford. I’ve been banned for criticizing “Israel”. Are we free anymore?” he wrote, adding:  “This is oppression of Western citizens by our own governments on behalf of a different country.”

Uygur also commented publicly on the decision, saying the move reflected political pressure linked to criticism of “Israel”. … continue

Israeli Government Cutout Takes Credit For UK’s Ban On Hassan Piker And Cenk Uygur

The Dissident | June 1, 2026

… these blatant suppressions of free speech are nothing new to Israel critics within the UK, who have faced severe repression domestically for supporting Palestine since the start of the genocide in Gaza in October of 2023.

Furthermore, the same Israeli government-connected forces behind the domestic suppression in the UK appear to have influenced the UK’s decision to deny entry to Uygur and Piker.

Most notably, the UK-based Israeli government cutout Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA), took credit for the ban on Hassan Piker.

On May 28th, before the ban was in place, CAA wrote on X “David Taylor, the Labour Member of Parliament for Hemel Hempstead, has called on the Home Office to revoke Mr Piker’s visa. We echo this.”

After the ban was revealed CAA took credit for it  […]

… UK Human Rights organization CAGE noted that “CAA’s focus is on enforcing and expanding the scope of criminal prosecutions for antisemitism, acting as a pressure group to push regulators and institutions such the CPS and EHRC for prosecutions or investigations, and initiating private prosecutions in certain instances.”

CAA, the report noted, “flood the judiciary, regulators and employers with disingenuous and dishonest complaints of antisemitism, seeking to suppress and criminalise support for Palestine in the UK.”

The report added that CAA, “has contributed to an intensifying wave of repression: wearing a pin or keffiyeh for Palestine becomes a sackable offence; speaking out against the Gaza genocide risks referrals to regulators; and tearing down factories arming genocide results in lengthy custodial sentences.”

The report documented that:

– CAA has been instrumental in persuading the UK government and related institutions to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

– CAA pushed for full proscription of Hezbollah and called for the government to end engagement with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

– It has further come out against the national demonstrations against Israeli atrocities in Palestine. It dispatched its ‘demonstration and event monitoring unit’ to gather evidence on marches and sought to have them banned

– CAA pushed for a ban on further Palestine marches.

– It associated a chant about Al Aqsa with Hamas, implying that it was grounds for prosecution.

Perhaps the most significant lawfare victory achieved by CAA was getting the direct action activist group Palestine Action- know for disrupting the UK-based facilities of the Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems, which fuelled the genocide in Gaza- proscribed as a terrorist organization.

After the UK’s Home Secretary Yvette Cooper passed the ban on Palestine Action, CAA took credit for it , writing, “We are pleased that the Home Secretary has listened to our representations over the last week.” … Full article

Iran halts talks with US – media

RT | June 1, 2026

Iran has halted negotiations with the US over the ongoing Israeli offensive in Lebanon, moving to block maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, Tasnim news agency has reported, citing sources.

Israel has intensified its bombing campaign in Lebanon in recent days, against what it describes as sites used by the Hezbollah militant group. The Israeli military has pushed deeper into the country’s south, seizing Beaufort Castle, a 900-year-old Crusader fortress and a key vantage point in the region.

While Iran made an end to the war in Lebanon a condition for its Pakistani-mediated negotiations with the US, the hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have continued despite a supposed ceasefire announced in mid-April.

In response to the escalation in Lebanon, Tehran is stopping the “negotiations and exchange of messages through a mediator,” according to Tasnim.

Iran has reportedly demanded an “immediate cessation of hostilities” in the country, as well as in the Palestinian enclave of Gaza, making it a condition for continuing the contacts with the US.

Tehran and its regional allied groups have also expressed readiness to seal off the Strait of Hormuz, as well as to “activate other fronts,” including disrupting maritime traffic in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, according to the agency.

The End of American Forward Presence in the Persian Gulf

By Jasim Al-Azzawi | MEMO | June 1, 2026

… The combination of Iranian anti-access capabilities, eroding partner confidence, and a domestic American political culture that is exhausted by Middle Eastern entanglements has closed off the options that were once available.

The fundamental issue is no longer the sustainability of the U.S. military footprint in the Gulf, which the evidence heavily refutes. Rather, it is whether Washington possesses the strategic capacity to execute a deliberate drawdown before deteriorating conditions force an involuntary, disorderly exit. – Read full article

IRGC hits US air base behind attack on telecom tower in southern Iran

Press TV – June 1, 2026

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it has carried out a retaliatory strike against an air base used by the United States to launch a military attack on a telecommunications tower in southern Iran.

In a statement on Monday, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force struck and destroyed the air base from which the “aggressor US military” launched an attack on the telecom tower on Sirik Island in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan.

“Following the aggression carried out hours ago by the aggressor US military against a communications tower on Sirik Island in Hormozgan Province, the fighters of the IRGC Aerospace Force targeted the air base from which the attack originated, and the predetermined targets were destroyed,” the statement added. … continue

Israeli authorities refuse to return massive trove of Oct 7 video. What are they hiding?

By Michelle Witte | The Grayzone | May 31, 2026

The Israeli government is still holding a massive trove of video documentation of the Oct. 7 attack captured by individuals and communities caught up in the fighting. One bereaved parent even accuses Israeli authorities of deleting a video of her son’s last moments before returning his phone to her.

According to Israel’s Channel 13, “all the cameras, memory cards and films that documented the atrocities were collected, but two and a half years later, these materials have not been returned to the communities and bereaved families who are desperate for information, and even feel that someone is hiding it from them.”

Soon after Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, special units from the IDF, the Israeli intelligence agency Shin Bet and Israel’s investigation unit Lahav 433 collected photo and video documentation of the violence, confiscating cell phones, individual cameras, kibbutz security cameras and more.

“They disconnected what was needed, took it and moved on – that was the last time we saw the materials,” said an Israeli army reservist who participated in the collection mission. … continue

Wrong, BBC, No ‘Climate Driven Millisecond Earth Rotation Crisis’ Exists

By Anthony Watts | ClimateRealism | May 29, 2026

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Science Focus article “Something ‘unprecedented’ is now happening to Earth’s rotation, scientists say” claims that climate change is causing an “unprecedented” slowing of Earth’s rotation by 1.33 milliseconds per century, something not seen in 3.6 million years. This is false. The data show that millisecond-scale variations in Earth’s length of day are routine, naturally occurring, and both technologically and biologically insignificant. … continue

Japan’s Tooth Decay Rates Fell for 40 Years — Without Water Fluoridation

By Brenda Baletti, Ph.D. | The Defender | May 28, 2026

Japan has achieved dramatic long-term declines in childhood tooth decay — despite never implementing nationwide water fluoridation and only recently recommending fluoridated toothpaste, according to a new study in BMC Public Health.

The research, by Yoshihisa Yamashita, D.D.S, Ph.D., of Kyushu Dental University, describes Japan’s experience as a “natural social experiment” that could reshape how public health experts address preventing dental cavities at the population level.

Unlike many other high-income countries, Japan has historically limited fluoride exposure during childhood — which makes the country a “unique and underexplored case.”

Using decades of national dental survey data, the study found that average rates of tooth decay among Japanese 12-year-olds fell steadily over roughly 40 years. … continue

How ADHD Became ‘Gateway Diagnosis’ That Led to Drug Cocktails for Millions of Children

By Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D. | The Defender | May 28, 2026

Roughly 10 million U.S. children and young adults ages 2-24 are on medication for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) — and 40% of those are on multiple psychotropic drugs, including antipsychotics, according to Gretchen Watson, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist and researcher. […]

Once doctors and parents felt comfortable putting children on stimulants to medicate ADHD, the prescribing of psychotropic drugs for children “rapidly expanded,” Watson said.

Since long-term use of stimulants has significant side effects, including altering one’s mood and causing mania or depression, doctors start prescribing other drugs to address those effects, Watson said.

“Antidepressants get added, mood stabilizers get added. Now you’ve got children’s moods and minds being affected in a variety of ways. And before you know it, antipsychotics are added to the mix,” she said. … Read full article

The Gene Was Fake. The Body Believed it Anyway.

A fake DNA result and the uncomfortable truth about how much of your health your beliefs are quietly shaping

By Dr. Roger McFillin | Radically Genuine | May 31, 2026

… What if the steady drip of fear we live inside, the warnings about disease, the urgency of prevention, the dread of the next pandemic, is not only describing our health but quietly shaping it?

What if the constant push toward more checkups, more screening, more tests for things we would never otherwise have noticed slowly trains us to inhabit the identity of the perpetually sick?

And what if a belief, held tightly enough by enough people, does not stay politely inside the mind but reaches down into the body, the way it reached into the lungs of those runners on the treadmill, so that a culture convinced it is fragile and broken and doomed begins, quietly, to become exactly that? … Read full article

‘Nothing adds up’: Veteran German politician tears into Merz’s Russia policy

RT | May 31, 2026

Germany’s policy on Russia is riddled with contradictions, veteran German politician Sahra Wagenknecht has argued, accusing Berlin of punishing Moscow over alleged violations of international law while excusing similar accusations leveled against the US and damaging its own economy in the process.

Speaking at a public appearance in Berlin this week, Wagenknecht took aim at Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s support for the Western sanctions on Russia and his stance on international law.

“Russia’s oil and gas are selling like hotcakes all over the world, and we act as if we could end this war simply by stopping our purchases,” she said. “People say that because Russia has violated international law, we must impose sanctions. But when the US violates international law, Mr. Merz stands in front of the camera and tells us that international law is actually outdated. So, for the US, it’s outdated, but when Russia violates it, we have to completely ruin our economy because we have to impose sanctions. Nothing adds up with this policy.”

Since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022, the EU has imposed 20 rounds of sanctions targeting Russia’s economy and energy exports while seeking to phase out Russian fossil fuels.

Russia, however, has largely redirected its energy exports to Asia. According to US Energy Information Administration data, Asia and Oceania accounted for 81% of Russian crude exports in 2024, with China and India emerging as Russia’s largest customers.

Germany, meanwhile, entered recession in 2023 as industries grappled with higher energy costs after the loss of Russian gas, much of it replaced by more expensive LNG imports.

Western governments have accused Russia of violating international law in Ukraine, a charge that Moscow rejects.

Wagenknecht contrasted this with Western responses to US military actions, including recent operations in the Middle East. In March, Merz declined to question the legality of US actions in Iran, arguing that it was not the time to “lecture” allies about international law. Opponents seized on the remarks as evidence that Berlin applies different standards to the US and Russia. … Full article

Local sources said a group of colonizers invaded the village, including the area around the local school.

The sources added that the colonizers pursued the children along the main road, causing panic among them.

Attacks by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers against Kisan students have escalated in recent weeks, including repeated chases and attempted vehicular assaults, leading to injuries among several children.

Earlier on Sunday morning, a Palestinian student was injured after an Israeli colonizer rammed her with a vehicle on the main road of Al‑Lubban ash‑Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Colonizers also carried out additional attacks in several parts of the occupied West Bank on Sunday, including causing damage to an under‑construction school near Ramallah.

Denmark’s ‘baseless’ terror allegations aimed at isolating Iran: Embassy

Press TV – May 31, 2026

The Iranian Embassy in Copenhagen has rejected Denmark’s terror accusations against the Islamic Republic, saying they are aimed at isolating the country.

The embassy released a statement on Saturday, one day after the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) claimed that Iran was playing a larger role when it came to the threat of terrorism against the Scandinavian state.

The Iranian diplomatic mission said that PET’s allegations are largely based on general assessments, rather than on documented and undeniable evidence.

“The baseless accusations against Iran are part of a broader process of political and international isolation of Iran, and not the result of proving a real and documented threat against Denmark or any other Western country,” it added. … continue
